I have pensionado status and have applied for my birth certificate from Poland, and was sadly informed that they have no documentation for the year I was born because of the invasion, can anyone tell me if they make exceptions for war torn Countries?
I think you better ask at the Costa Rican Consulat in Poland, or at the Immigration office in San Jose.
A knowledgeable Costa Rican attorney, one who specializes in residency matters, should be able to assist you, Janice.
I’m curious . . . What is your current citizenship? If not Polish, how did you document your birth to obtain your current citizenship status?
I am Canadian, my family came from Germany in 1952 as immigrants. Thanks for your help everyone.
Janice, I’m confident that there’s a workaround for this. I just don’t know what it is, but a good attorney here will.
