We had news a while back about changes they was making in Costa Rica to immigration about pensionistas or whatever the word was and I have not see what passed.
Did this all get done and what changed?
This morning, A.M. Costa Rica reported that the Legislative committee that was working on the pending legislation was about to report it out to the full Legislature for a first reading. That’s one more step on the road to passage.
How did the final changes shake out in the current incarnation of this legislation?
No news on details yet, but that is part of the first step is to have a discussion on the floor of the asemblea. They are racing against the clock to get passage this year with an election in less than a year. Hopefully this delay in getting the bill to the floor has given all the business people, lawyers and other lobbyists time to bend the ears of the legislators.

As is usually the case, we didn’t come close to the worst case scenario…
