I’ve heard there’s a warehouse of sorts somewhere in CR (sorry I can’t be more specific, but I think it’s in the Central Valley) that sells used things bought from foreigners who moved to CR and who then decided to move back to their countries.
I’ve done a search on this site and only found references to places that sell appliances, furniture, etc. but they were what appeared to be regular places with new things.
Has anyone heard of such a place selling second hand stuff?
Thanks for any help you may provide.
Sandra
I think you are referring to a used appliance store that used to advertise in the Tico Times but have not see their ads for a while.
In the US most people would probably throw out an old but perfectly good washing machine that still works but which has been replaced by a newer one. In Costa Rica ‘second hand’ appliances or anything else for that matter are in demand and are easily bought and sold.
You can see a lot of stuff for sale in La Nacion newspaper and online in Spanish of course …

You could also check the Costa Rican page on Craig’s list. I was surprised to find it the other day, and there are quite a few listings of people moving back to the US and selling off their stuff.
Thanks for your suggestions. I’ve checked out La Nación and Craig’s List and have a better idea of what’s available out there!
Hi,
Can you tell me where I’d find Craig’s list for future reference?
http://www.craigslist.com then click Costa Rica
Muchas Gracias!
