ever see those programs where they bust the guys trying to arrange sex with a child? most of them are fat, balding, and yes, married, professionals — doctors, lawyers, dentists. we had a friend who came to CR recently. the best part of his vacation he said was spending a week at the Del Rey and dropping $2000 on hookers. maybe not your friends or mine are after underage sex partners, but somebody wants them because that part of the sex trade is rampant and flourishing.
The DELREY is very down on minors. Sure those pervs pass through there.hen they go somewhere else. Where i have no idea. I think the staff and owners are not that type at all. I have never sen anyone at the Delrey pointed out as the GOTO GUY for minors. I hear of the cigar guys, shoe shine guys, pill guys etc but never ever any mention of child sex etc. For the most part anyone that did talk that stuff would get a unwanted treatment from many of the patrons. Sure i guess there are those types but never suspected anyone or heard anyone talk about them at all.
July 20, 2011 at 2:49 pm #2041492bncrMemberThe uptightness regarding sex in the US is a large part of the problem. Many many Tica see attraction as flattering. Weather it comes from a 17 year old or a 70 year old. In the US if a 40 year old man express that he finds a 22 year odld woman attractive, he is flipped off by the woman. Unless of course he is rich or famous (double standard and an example of an opportunity for veiled prostitution). Many Tica also feel that sex is natural and humane. So they see no problem with providing a service in return for reward. People provide services for reward all the time. Its encouraged, so why are providing sexual services for reward discouraged. Veiled prostitution is why.
I know guys here that go to the Del rey once every couple of months and they say that just knowing that it exists reduces their sexual urges – that is right – reduces sexual urges! Why, because its human to want what you cannot have. They know they can have sex when they want it so they don’t need it as much. If water was scarce one would really value water. If sex is scarce ita the same. But if water is east to get.. well, Prostitution is humane. There is so much veiled prostitution (which is inhumane) going on in everyday life. Women trading sexual favors all the time, even in a committed relationship! Now I know this is not going to go over well, however, trading sexual favors for any kind of result is prostitution, weather it is in the Del Rey or a married couple’s bedroom.
Now her is the double whammy that you women are going to hate and I have the guts to say (many feel this way but few will say it). Women have been taking advantage of men’s physical requirements to reproduce (spread the seed) since day one! No one ever talks about the way women provoke men with sexy clothes and perfume and lewd behavior. Men are set up by women to want sex and are then denied sex and then are enslaved by women that provide sex. Sometimes these women take men for hundreds of thousands of dollars or more in the name of love, when all the time its veiled prostitution becuae of manipulation and dishonest intent. So who is more honest here, a woman that pretends to love a man to marry him and get his money or manipulate him through withholding sex. Or a woman at the del ray exchanging sexual favors for a fixed sum?
Veiled prostitution has been so deeply ingrained into our culture that it is completely acceptable. However, you cannot talk about it. Its similar to talking about being black 40 years ago and not being a black person. It’s a taboo subject. Until women change their behavior and become more honest and less provocative regarding sex (which encourages veiled prostitution), there will always be a market for sexual favors. The more women withhold sex and the more prostitution is illegal, the more problems with rape etc.
Look, men want a lot of sex, some women want to trade their sexual favors for money for the things they want. Its an honest deal. Now women who marry for money are honest too as long as they provide their sexual favors and spousal duties (whatever they may be), but women who marry for love and them withhold sex to manipulate their husbands are veiled prostitutes and dishonest ones at that. At least the prostitutes at the del ray are honest. Here is the price and terms. Physically it’s a Win win situation. Emotionally less than ideal. However look at the extreme emotional damage women create when they fake love to marry and then divorce a man for his money. Or marry for love and upset the emotional balance of the family by with holding sex until they get what they want, weather that is obedience or material objects. Veiled prostitution is devastating especially with children involved. Veiled prostitution is thriving and a growing business due to cultural acceptance. Legal prostitution would help eradicate veiled prostitution. That is why many women do not want legal honest prostitution. Bad for business.
July 20, 2011 at 3:37 pm #204150VersatileMemberVery well said sir.
July 20, 2011 at 4:08 pm #204151maravillaMemberwater and sex. interesting analogy.
nobody ever died from not having sex.
you will die without water.
there are plenty of men who marry women for their money, too. is that veiled prostitution or is the guy just a gigolo???
July 20, 2011 at 5:26 pm #2041522bncrMemberOf course it vieled prostitution whan a man does it.
Look I am not talking matters of life or death here.
However, you not being a man and with all due respect because I admire the kind of woman you are, you don’t understand the urgency of it all.
You may not die from it but its the most motivating factor of human existence (procreation) and men are said to think about it at least 14 times a day. I think sex is pretty primal to existence, so I think the analogy is valid.
Wiating for your astute/interesting reply.
Women take advangtage of this and its socially acceptable and condoned through television values etc etc.
July 20, 2011 at 6:51 pm #204153maravillaMemberall i can say is it is soooooooo overrated — your desperate urges and all. jejejeje it’s kind of like a bad sitcom.

Depends on who is rating it.
July 21, 2011 at 1:28 am #204155spriteMemberThis is a subject which is maturity relevant. Any man who is obsessing over sex after the age of 40 and who chases younger women and pays for sexual service has simply not matured normally for any number of reasons, some of which might be cultural in nature.
While sex may begin with younger adults as a driving urge and as a recreational activity, its natural purpose is for procreation. Once adults mate and procreate, recreational sex outside of a marriage should dissipate. Other passions more relevant to older males should replace the adolescent sex drive.
Sex is a young man’s game and when old fools try to play it, it is sadly comical to most observers. It is, apparently, good business for some, but in my opinion, that is monkey business in a very literal sense.
July 21, 2011 at 1:48 am #204156maravillaMemberyou’re right, sprite. when i see old geezers with young tarts, i think to myself, “i hope for her sake that guy has a lot of money!” As IF she is with him for him winning personality and that comb-over!
July 21, 2011 at 2:31 pm #2041572bncrMemberWho is talking young with old? There is plenty of veiled prostitution going on with the under 40 crowd and in committed relationships of all ages. Plenty of young men at the del ray engaging in honest prostitution. Plenty of young men and women engaging in dishonest prostitution in various styles of relationships.
Maravilla, I’d expect more from you rather than the standard feminist line of oh I am a woman so don’t insinuate women use sex to get what they want, as I won’t want to talk about that. Regarding overrated, if you are over 45 then you may have lost your sex drive. Then of course, you may feel it’s over rated. But ask most 30 year old if sex is over rated. Ask add executives if sex is over rated. Ask the fashion industry if sex is over rated. Sex sells, sex motivates and sex may be the primary reason we exist as a species (to reproduce). But as is common when women feel threatened you attack older men with your comb over comment. That was equally as juvenile as much older men with very young women. But haven’t telivison values championed juvenile behavior for the last 50 years? Now from Sprite I get it, “No one over 40 should have sex.”That eunuch point of view is archaic. And some have been neutered or lost their sex dive at a certain age of have been enslaved by their mate and withheld from sex so long that they no longer care. Sex is healthy and men should have sex at least twice a week (Dr Oz) in their committed relationship or outside it if they can swing it or afford it.
But to disregard my point about veiled prostitution and prostitution in general and how prostitution helps reduce sexual urges and keeps the male population more in balance with remarks about soap opera sexual urges and old men with young women basically means that you have no valid rebuttal to veiled prostitution and you validate my point that it is a taboo subject and that women do not want to discuss this honestly because there are millions of women engaging in this all the time.
Veiled prostitution is completely accepted and mainstream, that is many women are going to make men pay for sex one way or the other. Here in Costa Rica veiled prostitution has lost its fire power and is not as much of a problem as in the US because men know that if their partner with holds sex to get what she wants men can always go to honest prostitution to fulfill their needs.
I guess I expected too much from you. But women have a strong common bond and those “male oppressors” deserve what they get, right? Resorting to comments about over rated and old with young adds nothing to the discussion of what may be the largest instances of emotional violence in the world, which is veiled prostitution, because it is dishonest. It may also help fuel the sex enslavement trade which provides prostitutes for underground prostitution.
Its emotional violence to manipulate by with holding sex in a relationship to get what you want, whether a man or woman does it. You don’t see men doing it often because of the different ways men and women are built. When it comes to a major card women play all the time, I guess I should not expect women to be honest and forthright about discussing it. Again, it’s bad for business. It’s also a sad commentary about the weakness of western males that they consistently cave into their mates wishes when they with hold sex from them. “You aren’t getting any tonight” is a mainstream phrase that should be politically incorrect. Just as veiled prostitution should be illegal where honest prostitution is illegal.
But we all know that when it comes to male female relationships and black white relationships there is a double standard. It’s common to see a woman strike a man in the groin on a situation comedy and the laugh track happens. But do you ever see a man strike a woman in the groin and the laugh track happens? Its all part of the enslavement and emasculation of men.
One of the great things about Costa Rica is that men so far have not bought into the “men are animals and therefore bad” so let’s castrate them (literally and figuratively). Some men are so sexually dysfunctional from female emotional violence that for all practical purposes they have castrated themselves. You know who you are…
Hey maybe a new slogan for CR” “Costa Rica where a man can be a man!” A place where it’s still cool to have a penis!

I never met a woman yet that didn’t like me because they thought i had quite a bit of money. Tell the story of “i have no money and i sit alone on Saturday night”.
As for the old guy and the young Tica. He knows the score the same as she does. Everyone gets what they want. I know some working girls that are great friends and i have not ever done any business with them and i trust them way much more than any American woman(other than one woman here in the states).
July 21, 2011 at 10:44 pm #204159spriteMemberVeiled prostitution or any kind of sex-for-money is just what happens when your behavior becomes perverted and you continue obsessing with sex. Try and understand the concept: sex is for procreation. It is nature’s business and it is healthy in that context. Many men women understand this on a visceral level, at least the ones who have not had their behavior perverted by male cultural forces. But many others, perhaps most, have been damaged by dysfunctional cultures or upbrining and are like the monkeys trapped in a cage at a zoo, masterbating constantly and displaying violent behavior. They are removed from the natural environment.
It does not matter whether the perversions (money for sex) happen inside or outside marriage. ANyone who is participating in sex for money is displaying behavior which is contrary to purpose. Grow up, make your offspring then leave the obsessive sexual behavior behind.
July 21, 2011 at 11:08 pm #2041602bncrMemberSo couples who can’t get pregnent should work at it like bunnies and all other people that have children should not have sex any more. When you going to join the real world Sprite, What monastary are you from anyways (and what century?). Thought I would get some mature and sensible feed back on this but all I get is men are wierd for wanting sex and only have sex to reproduce. Wow. I guess no one wants to touch this subject at all… No wonder the world think americans are uptight sexually.
July 22, 2011 at 3:16 am #204161spriteMemberWomen over 40 should avoid pregnancy as there is a much higher risk for problems. And those couples who have children tend to cut way back on sex for a lot of reasons. THAT is the real world! Your attitude is a typical product of a sick society. If you want a good example of how a sick culture can create sexual problems, just look at the catholic priesthood.
You seem to think that the adult human sex drive is normally that of an adolescent or a 25 year old single male and that if the rest of the population is not stuck in that immature mode where sex is a constant, driving need, then there is a problem. The natural reality is that healthy people mature through various phases of life while others suffer from arrested xevelopment.

Sprite, Sex is not immature. You are a real piece of work. I am sure glad you are not around my personal life.
