We’ve encountered a number of people who have taken weeklong (or longer) Spanish courses at the school in Grecia. My sister-in-law is one of them. She was there for two weeks in February. They arrange housing and meals with a local family, provide several hours of instruction each day tailored to your level of competence, and load you down with homework. And they’ll provide airport pick-up and drop-off.

If you have a special need, such as to build a vocabulary to use in a medical or legal setting, they can provide that with sufficient notice.

And Grecia’s a great place to stay.

Thank you very much, we have a home in Alajuela, so we will not be looking for housing, do you know if they have a day or half day program that we could travel to.

    Again, thanks for your response

Steve, the school here in Grecia can be pretty accommodating. I think that the classes themselves usually run three or four hours. Then you’re turned loose to practice and do homework.

They’ll test you at the onset to see just how much Spanish you know and customize the lessons from there.

Alberto, I’m in the U.S. for the next couple of weeks and can’t help. They do have a website, I think, so a Google search should turn them up.

Alberto, my sister-in-law says the website is: http://www.acce.co.cr. Hope this helps.
