Since I got very good information from this site, I figure it won’t hurt to throw this out and see what comes back.
Our company in the states does Pediatric therapy. We have a real shortage and need for bilingual Speech therapists. We should not have a major problem with immigration in the states according to our lawyers (as there is a need that can’t be filled by the current supply).
I have been drawing blanks on contacts for Speech therapists in CR. Does anyone know of a university or source we can talk to about this. We were thinking of checking out CIMA and other hospitals in the area but most SLPs’ work out of schools etc.
Thanks!
In Spanish a speech therapist is a “logopeda” and speech therapy is “logotherapia.”
There is an Asociación de Logopedas de Costa Rica but I’m sorry I have been unable to find a website for them…
I did find one logopeda Natalia Calderon en Barva, Heredia at the Centro Especializado en Lenguaje y Aprendizaje. C.E.L.A. http://www.nataliacalderon.com/ my only suggestion is perhaps you could contact here and ask here where you should be looking ….
