I was wondering if anyone knows of a stained glass source in Costa Rica?

Also, I appreciate the tip on Aliss furniture, Scott. Do they have washers/dryers/refrigerators, etc., too?

No Aliss does not… There are plenty of stores that sell appliances here. I bought a beautiful Whirlpool gas stove at ‘El Verdugo’ for about $1,100 a few months back. For gas stoves, please note that you may have to change the nipples for propane.

As always you can expect to pay more for imported items and less for locally made ‘Atlas’ appliances.

There is a stained glass store in Escazu Centro about 50 West of the ‘The Pub’ and I’m sure they could sell you supplies and/or tell you where you could find them.

Ok, thanks for the info. I’ll try looking up stained glass stores in that area and see if any are online. You don’t happen to know the name of the place in Escazu, do you?

Yes, I saw many Atlas brands at a place in Santa Cruz where my cousin and her husband were buying things for their house in Nosara. They bought the more expensive brands because people have said the Atlas aren’t all that reliable or long lasting. Same with coffee makers, etc. Better to pay a bit more and have a more solid appliance.

Is the furniture at Aliss fairly solid and good quality?

    Hi,
Great! Sure do appreciate you taking time to let me know. I’ll have to give them a visit when I’m down there next time. I may write them a letter to see what they have, and if they have a brochure.

You don’t happen to know if they have a website, do you? If not, I’ll just write a letter.

Thanks so much for your feedback!
