October 7, 2008 at 6:42 pm #192907AndrewKeymasterI have (unfortunately) been following the news about the North American Union, the Amero and the Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America [ http://www.spp.gov/ ] for some time and don’t like what I am seeing.
The ‘powers that be’ are not as stupid as we think they are, they know what the final outcome will be for the present, bankrupt financial system, they know that the current debt load is unsustainable and will have a plan ‘B’.
Is the the Amero and the North American Union their Plan ‘B’? I do not know for sure but it would not surprise be in the slightest
Some good links?

10. [ http://www.nolanchart.com/article3107.html ]If you believe that there is a high probability that this will indeed be implemented then owning a non-US dollar foreign bank account (I would suggest Swiss francs) is more crucial than ever. I do NOT know if there are local banks that would allow you to have a Swiss franc account, I do have a relationship with a bank in Zurich.
Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer places that are willing to open bank accounts of any kind for US citizens who are not actually living in that jurisdiction.

I would not be too worried. This Hal Turner guy even suggested converting your USD into French franc, a currency that seized to exist with the intro of the Euro.
It appears that Hal Turner should: 1.get professional help from a psychologist.
2. get his facts straight.October 7, 2008 at 7:28 pm #192909ShawnLorenzoYorkMemberHal Turner is a wackjob. He may even be a white supremacist – I’m not sure though. I can’t deny however that he IS holding the evidence in his hand.
The best education on what the Amero is and why North Americans will be BEGGING for it within 24 months can be found here:
October 8, 2008 at 3:58 am #192910LVLazarusMemberWell, never say never… anything is possible, however….
The concept & creation of the Amero has been tossed around for at least the last few years and continues to appear to be more a product of “someone’s” perception/interpretation of events of the SPP North American Leaders Summit of 2007. It is not new or news that coins were minted and available to anyone who chooses to buy them. They are worth whatever collectors are willing to pay… just like many other collectible coins.“2007 and 2008 Ameros are designed and crafted by Dan Carr, noted sculptor and designer of the 2001 New York and Rhode Island state quarters, issued by the U.S. Mint. Ameros you purchase will be medallions of the highest quality. Thousands of the 2007s were delivered with nary a complaint of quality.
Final mintages will generally be determined by sales, but we may cease production of a given coin at any time. The 2008 issues will be available for ordering through 2008, and none will ever be minted after the end of the year.”Who can say whether the “Amero” will become an actual currency of the U.S., Canada, & Mexico; to be used for everyday transactions? It could be possible, but for now, it is not. It is collectible coin.
October 8, 2008 at 2:06 pm #192911ShawnLorenzoYorkMemberI thought the same thing. But then I remembered that this guy (Hal) said that it was “U.S. Government issued” currency headed to China. That video could be just a very clever way for someone to sell dumb “conspiracy theory” collectible coins. Very clever. Bottom line is that either he’s lying or he’s not. God I hope he’s a liar.
Here’s an article in today’s Alex Jones PP
The world’s central bankers are gathering this week at the IMF-World Bank conference in Washington DC and are expected to grease the skids for the creation of a machinery of world economic governance under the pretext of preventing a repeat of the financial crisis, a global economic policeman to patrol a de-facto financial dictatorship.
Bilderberg member and recently appointed UK Business Secretary Peter Mandelson argued last week that new global solutions are needed because “the machinery of global economic governance barely exists”, adding: “It is time for a Bretton Woods for this century,” reports the Telegraph, noting that “Opinion is now hardening around the case for a new global architecture to enforce rules that ensure lessons are learnt.”
This followed the proposal to create a new EU body to regulate banks across the entire European financial market.
Top EU officials, including economy commissioner Joaquin Almunia, have stated that the EU should have greater powers to regulate and intervene in the operations of financial institutions across Europe.
Influential media giants like the Wall Street Journal are pushing a “new world order” to solve the crisis, while British Prime Minister Gordon Brown called for a “a new global financial order” to supersede the institutions created after World War II.
The elite are up to their old tricks again, after all, a leopard never changes its spots.
They created the problem of wildly irresponsible fractional reserve banking, the debt bubble and the credit crunch by ceaselessly inflating the money supply and now they are going to offer their solution to the crisis – the further centralization of global economic power into fewer hands.
Appointing the former CEO of Goldman Sachs to oversee the bailout and ensure the bankers divvy up the spoils of the greatest stick-up heist in history amongst themselves was not enough for these fascists – they want to go full board and exploit the crisis they caused to advance the stuttering agenda for world government that has been in the works for the best part of 100 years at least.
I almost feel bad for spending so many years making fun of the “tin foil hat conspiracy geeks”. The evidence sure seems to be adding up lately. Even Lou Dobbs has jumped on the bandwagon now. Google “North American Union” and “Lou Dobbs” for YouTube video.

October 9, 2008 at 1:16 pm #192912ImxploringParticipantWith all that’s going on in the financial markets… and with Uncle Sam cranking out the printing of “money” 24/7 to address this latest scam on the American taxpayer…. perhaps a coin system where there is some REAL value attached to the coin itself, be it silver or gold, is not such a bad idea! It won’t be long before paper money is seen for what it is…. a WORTHLESS promise!
These guys pushing the Amero might be a bit nutty…. but then again so was Jules Verne in his time… something is going to give sooner or later with this system we have… and it makes Costa Rica look better every day!
