Until midnight tonight EDT, you can book flights with Spirit Air for $134.42 r/t. That is an additional $7 off each way if booked on line. These fares are available on various Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until at least November! Recently, Spirit advertised this fare at $99 o/w, but had many days available for $79.00 and $77.77. I recently flew with them for $214.25 to FLL. Again these are round trip prices!
The $44.00 and additional discounts offered now are not advertised.Good Luck

Yesterday I found $187 round trip fares from St. Petersburg, FL to San Jose on American Airlines using Hotwire.
The fares were $106 plus $81 taxes and airport fees for a total of $187 and they were for round trip. This was for travel in Sept. and Oct. I didn’t check for any other dates.

Yes, and it is still $187, with the stop in Miami. If you originate in Miami, the fare with Hotwire on the same day is $276! (More money for shorter distance!) Just another example of the sensible airline industry!!
