Sometimes you can get by with a vehicle that just has higher ground clearance….likely y6ou will need to buy a 4wd for that, along with a longer travel suspension…..this is something most sedans just don’t offer…
Yes, a longer travel suspension vertically is a definite plus. NOT TO MENTION the lateral travel. That is the distance between the axels. A samari will “see saw” you to death. The land cruiser has a much longer stance and absorbs the potholes (which can be quite big), with ease. Of course, it’s also because of the suspension of the Land Cruiser.
Speaking of which, I’m “compensating” for the free fall in the U.S. financial market.. I have to sell my Land Cruiser! I HATE IT but alas….one must do what one must do. When the market rebounds, I don’t want a Prada… I want EXACTLY what I have now (and have to sell….uuuggggghhh! )
Odd no one is pro-Land Rover. A get there vehicle. I have never been stumped in mine. You will not get there quickly, BUT… you will get there. Screw the rain
Yeah, that IS strange! I guess they live on paved roads. I ALWAYS get where I’m going. I disagree about getting there fast…mine’s a turbo diesel. I can even pass the 18 wheelers going “up the hill” to San Jose! And yes, screw the rain….AND DUST!
