i always scratch my head and wonder why people who don’t want medical services for everyone in the States move to a country where medical services are available to everyone, and where, if you need emergency medical treatment, you don’t even have to pay. huh!
December 19, 2009 at 8:43 pm #166238DavidCMurrayParticipantSteve, I have a background of dealing with the mentally imbalanced. I always consider the source.
maravilla, I always scratch my head and wonder why those who don’t want medical services for everyone all have coverage for themselves. Such a coincidence!
I also wonder at their consistently cavalier attitude toward “them” and how that attitude never seems to apply to “us”.
Sam Cooke said it best in a song from the 1960s: “Everybody’s somebody’s baby . . .”

No need to be rude.
Rest assured that as soon as Obama tricks you into having availability to medical services for all people…he and his negro army will be coming to take your guns.
Watch out!
P.s. YOU GET THE GOVERNMENT THAT YOU DESERVE!
David, I am constantly amazed by your civility in the face of idiocy.
SteveTypical reply, lets start playing the race card and maybe it can support your argument.
Which was what ?????
And if you mean the government that you want, please by all means move to Canada or Europe, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela we won’t miss your sorry a***** in America.December 20, 2009 at 12:02 am #166240maravillaMemberwhy should someone move to those countries? is it because they have socialized medicine? if that’s the reason, then you should’ve added costa rica to the list. more and more, i meet gringos who moved here because they simply cannot afford the astronomical cost of health insurance or health care, in the States. CAJA is a godsend for them, even though they also pay out of pocket for private medical care, which is still a fraction of the cost for the same thing in the U.S.
now when someone does something about the outrageous fees that dentists in the US charge, we will actually be making some progress. my husband’s dentist wanted $28,000 to do dental work up there. down here, the dentists said he didn’t need all that work, and what he did need is going to cost less than a thousand dollars. there is something terribly wrong with a system that allows that kind of pricing and rip-offs. and where does someone get nearly $30,000? deplete savings, mortgage their house, what? it’s ALL broken up there, and there is no way anyone, including Obama, can fix it now that it’s gone to the dogs.
December 20, 2009 at 4:54 am #166241PhilharmonicMemberThey don’t plan to fix health care. It is all a clever plot, like Global cooling/warming/change, to over throw the Constitution and Subjucate and control every American. Free Speech has aleady been denied (PC). Property rights were taken by the Supreme Court by Eminent Domain (taking someones property and giving it to a private developer). Confiscation of all guns will be coming , right after they shut down all news outlets including Talk Radio, and the internet. First though, they have to Bankrupt the Country,… oh wait, they are doing that now. Cap and Trade will also be a contributer to the up coming party. Yes, in answer to your obvious question, I am paranoid, but just a little.
December 20, 2009 at 12:43 pm #166242DavidCMurrayParticipantHmmm . . . Phil, I was right with you on that last point, right up until the “. . but just a little.” part.
How did you survive the Bush years?
December 20, 2009 at 1:48 pm #166243PhilharmonicMemberOh, ok maybe more than just a little:lol::lol: Bush years drove me Crazy, Obama’s 11 month’s pushed me over the edge, now I am Crazy and slightly more paranoid.:lol: Tea Party People make me Teary eyed. There is still hope, as long as we still have some semblance of Common Sense.

Who is “they”
December 20, 2009 at 7:55 pm #166246PhilharmonicMemberIn every story, it is always the secret cabal, the power behind the power, the names that can’t be named, being a paranoid (slightly more than some) I don’t have to name names, it’s just my word against them/they/those who are hiding behind the curtain . 😆 😆 😆 They will never tell.

–/snip–December 21, 2009 at 5:20 am #166249ImxploringParticipantAnd I’m guessing with that government pension came lifetime health benefits in retirement, or at least some nice plan that covers a good portion of the cost! It’s always easy for those “with” to judge how those without should be provided for!
December 21, 2009 at 12:18 pm #166250countdownMemberAbsolutely no offense intended to Dave, who is a great, long-time contributor and very fair in his comments.

I’m not at all sure what that means, imx, but it doesn’t appear to reflect upon anything I’ve advocated. Unashamedly, however, I am an advocate of universal health care for all U.S. citizens and legal residents. No apologies there — as you know.
Actually, I’m a strong believer in a free-market, high competition approach to health care coverage, but we’ve already covered all of that.
