Just wanted to get the communities perspective on Uvita. Past, present, and future. How would you compare it to other areas in terms of beauty, growth, etc.
We have lived in Tres Rios, which is a few miles south of Uvita.
We think it is a fabulous area. The town of Uvita has doubled in size in the last year. There are two new supermarkets, almost up to Canadian standards. There are two new banks, in the banco nacional one of the staff speaks english.
The landscape is lush and green, unlike the northern part of Costa Rica which is brown and dry in the dry season.
The roads are great, the beaches are great. There is a new hospital a few miles south which opened this year. In the next few years there will be an international airport.
There is a lot of real estate for sale. Everyone and his brother is selling – no licence needed – beware!
We think it a great area to live and to invest.
