    Sprite…. the answer is really quite simple… these “Banana Republics” as you call them need to keep armies around in case the head chimp loses it and the other, apparently more reasonable chimps, need to be put him in his place…. as we’ve just witnessed in Honduras.

    So you agree that the armies in these small countries are for domestic control. We might disagree, though, on which chimps are more reasonable. The accepted way to resolve that disagreement is at the voting booth or in the courts. Reasonable people do not resort to guns first.

    And sometimes a country doesn’t resort to such tactics.For example, we let our chimp stay in the whitehouse even after he had done so much damage. Hell, we even asked him to stay for a second term.

    Probably! Rodeo bull riders, pro football players and pro baseball players do tend to get get quite serious injuries to the heads with balls, bulls and more which might explain a few things …

    I’m a vet and a Missouri boy. So, how about this? Clean slate. No CIA/contra/united fruit/Chiquita history. No overthrow of a democracy in Guatemala. No hanging “tight” with the likes of Noriega and Saddam.

    NOW, anyone got a problem with you USofA citizens telling your CIA and Pentagon to quit mucking around in other countries politics AND supporting military coups? No bashing. Just hoping these folks actually get to have a say in their own futures without…well,
    you get the idea.
