Was it you, David, who suggested I contact them for travertine? I did and yes, they have it in all sizes, and it is $58 a square meter. I can’t wait to go to their showroom to see what other kind of stone they have. We are also going to do a lot of mosaic work in my house — we did a glass mosaic of Monet’s Water Lillies that will go in the shower surround of my master bath, and we will be doing mosaic on our fireplace. An example of what I do can be seen on the October 15 program of Extreme Home Makeover — I fabricated the mosaic fireplace for a house in South Dakota and I also just finished an 18 by 6 foot mosaic mural for a bathroom in another house, but that program doesn’t have an air date yet.

Zamuri also has granite, marble, sandstone, slate and limestone, at least. They can do flooring, wall treatmens, and countertops. They will fabricate our countertops from limestone and also make the two sinks.
They also make some small stone household items like trash cans, plate holders, etc. They’re going to make three exterior light fixtures for us from slate.
I would recommend you call in advance and be certain Olga will be there when you go. She’s very knowledgeable and speaks excellent English.

My husband called them yesterday — Olga wasn’t there, but he spoke to someone else and told that person that I was coming and gave them my name so they’re on the look-out for me! Thank you so much for that recommendation. I’m hoping my contractor will go with me to pick out the travertine (or limestone).
Yes, Lotus, we DO plan on doing some mosaic tile work when we are in Costa Rica. That is why our house is going to have two major pieces of mosaic work. We also fabricated the largest mosaic mural in North America a few months ago. Looks like we’ll be doing a lot of work for the Makeover program because Ty loves what we do. Like you, I’m addicted to the HG-TV shows, always looking for ideas of how to fluff these houses or sell them! You can go to http://www.becomingtile.com and see the 4500 sq ft mural we did last winter.

We haven’t made a final decision on where we will live. but I need to keep up with you. Our house in Florida is called Flamingo Cove, and I would love to continue that in CR. I collect Flamingo stuff and would love to have one in mosica in CR in our new home.Rocky

It’s off the market now until next year. Would love to do a project for you. Just let me know when and where. Watch the Home Makeover show and you will see my handiwork.
