Hi sprite
Your posts are like candy. I eat it up but get a tummy ache soon after. Are you following your own advice? When are you leaving the Devil’s land and moving to Costa Rica? If you have no bank account and are carrying only gold and silver will you have it in a briefcase or just use your pockets? Do you have a gold exchanger here in CR? Since you won’t be in a gated community and will probably be richer than 95% of the Tico’s will you disburse your riches to equalize the disparity of your net worth or will you allow the thieves to only steal from you what they need thus utilizing the natural income equalization system that exists within CR? 😀agarciaMember
Don’t call this guy Luis Diego Chacon!!!
I called him to ask opinion, All he wanted MONEY MONEY!!
Didn’t say one word about the case!
AVOID the Guy!
lol. Sounds like you were looking for free legal representation. Why not tell the forum your troubles and I’m sure you’ll find free advice.October 31, 2011 at 8:15 pm in reply to: Why EX PATS have a right to care about what is going on at home. #162493agarciaMemberI watched this video which too was very disturbing, but fitting being that it is Halloween and the kooks are out in full force.

agarciaMemberIn San Jose call Luis Diego Chacon 2258-5518. Excellent criminal lawyer with perfect English and all around nice guy. 😀
agarciaMemberIf sprite spent less time on this forum and a little more time working for some money he’d be able to move away from his hated home of the US and to Costa Rica where he has many opinions but has not lived. On second thought, sprite stay busy posting as you aren’t wanted here.

When you are sick and don’t have the money and the family support that’s often needed, an out of country private option may not be a real option.

While the Canadian system has some perks, it is far from the ideal. I would consider Costa Rica to be better with both a public and private option – but clearly there is a tremendous amount of waste and mismanagement. Just my two cents – after tax.

October 17, 2011 at 2:19 am in reply to: Intel Is A Pillar of the Costa Rican Economy But Cracks Are Forming #204724agarciaMemberCosta Rica could easily increase GDP. Cut the bureacratic red tape that permeates nearly every public institution. People need to constantly wait in lines, jump through hoops and face all sorts of delays. Reduce that and make the process understandable, easy and efficient and people don’t need to be away from work (or home life) as often. Businesses can know what it takes to meet licensing and permit requirements. Sadly, Intel and those like it, probably don’t have to face these issues as much as the small and medium sized business which provide about 80% of the employment in this country. Do something for these groups that employ the majority of the people AND who pay business taxes. I don’t feel sorry for Intel but I do sympathize with those who don’t enjoy the ‘Tax Fee Zone’ benefits yet still need to work within the current system.
agarciaMemberThere are other options like the one from Net2Phone (https://partner.net2phone.com/partnersupport/products/innomediaxt/default.asp). This plugs into your network and you can plug a regular phone to it. Plus you can get both a toll free US number, plus a local number for most major cities in North America. Very convenient if family want to call you without incurring long distance charges and without jumping onto a computer for Skype or Google Talk. I prefer it because I don’t need to keep a computer running and can use it with a cordless phone. There’s a guy selling these options from Multiplaza Escazu at the cellular store near the Casio Store on the first level. I use this for my business and my home.
agarciaMemberTry a combination of torrents, Slingbox and the gringomovies.com guy.
agarciaMemberA poster mentioned Xandari, which is now Alma del Pacifico run by Rock Resorts. And it’s right on the beach. Very nice.
