OH OK, keep blaming Bush. In the meantime Obama will put the final nails in the coffin.

You talk about tax deferments for corporate jets like that is going to balance our budget and reduce the debt.

Yeah i agree our tax code is Fu%@ked, and there are companies exploiting it but putting the hammer to a few rich at the top will not put a dent in the problem our country faces.
YOU where the one talking about Obama, I never mentioned him.

George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan are what I mention

don’t complain about your next water bill while your house is on “FIRE”

I make $75,000 a year and get a $2,500 refund at the end of the year. Guess WHAT!!! I will give the US Treasury a DEAL they can’t refuse.

For every DOLLAR I refuse to take from that $2,500 they send me, cut the same amount of spending and allow them to TAX me at the .28% bracket from the .18.

I am employed after all and should pay my fair amount of taxes in these difficult times.

NO!! the ask Warren Buffett what he thinks about the tax code
Everybody knows that Obama an GE are in bed together, right down to the slanted media coverage from NBC.

Do you think that Obama wouldn’t pay them back ? Just like the unions.
You need to read more carefully, so read again this part.

“By the time the measure — the American Jobs Creation Act — was signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2004, it contained more than $13 billion a year in tax breaks for corporations, many very beneficial to G.E. One provision allowed companies to defer taxes on overseas profits from leasing planes to airlines. It was so generous — and so tailored to G.E. and a handful of other companies — that staff members on the House Ways and Means Committee publicly complained that G.E. would reap “an overwhelming percentage” of the estimated $100 million in annual tax savings.”

In 2004 George W. Bush was President not Obama.

    get your facts straight

“Company officials acknowledged that the tax department had expanded since he joined the company in 1988, and said it now had 975 employees.”

That is 975 workers trying to find way’s in the TAX laws to to pay less and this is one company, multiply it by 1,000 COMPANIES and find out why the Tax laws in the USA are not only broken but abused by the RICH Corporations

INEC estimated that the average monthly income per person in Costa Rica in 2010 was about $540.

that is a CR worker and not an EX-pat makes in a monthly income, could you live with $540.00 average a month in Santa Ana or Grecia CR???

you look through your $1-2-3-4-5 ,000 glass income, try it with NO GLASSES and %540.00 a month

YOU!! balance what?? your dollars compared to the colones made by the average worker in CR

let me show you another example; IF a tico’s average income a month is %540.00 what is the “NICA” rate in CR, $400.00?? a month

“Truthfully.. one of the biggest questions I ask myself daily.. especially when I go to the malls and keep seeing expansions and the parking lots filled.. how do these people here survive???”

    Is your conciense bothering YOU!!!

    Kimball:

you are 50% right and 50% wrong.

whatever you have saved in a US funds has been “RAIDED” by Congress be that the Social Security, Medicare (entitlements) or the TSP fund (savings)

both are supported by your contributions and earned in a lifetime

    where you are wrong!!!

is that all those funds don’t exist anymore, there is just a promise from Congress that you will get them and those “checks every month” can disappear the next day

the US debt stands at 14.5 trillion dollars and Congress has to raise it 2.5 more, do the MATH

the interest rate on the debt is eating .33% of the GDP or .33 cents to the dollar or put another way a .33% interest rate on the principal

    hope this helps

    It is still happening.

The US has a 401K called the Thrfty Savings Plan (TSP) for all Gov. employes, Dept. of State, CIA, Army, Post Office, etc.

AND the “G” fund has been raided because it was invested in the US bond market just like the Social Security fund and both have an IOY (I owe You).

This country is bankrupt and will take ALL the $$ from US funds regadless of the funds that keep it.

I had!! past tense $150,000.00 and now all I have a promise that (Congress) will pay me that amount when I retire.

Besides the promise of “MY” Social Security, MediCare benefit’s

    Time will tell what happens
Since Carlitos has not abided by the Forum regulations, has registered with a fake name and email address and has promoted more outrageous allegations which have been repeatedly refuted and also indulged in wanton character assassination – do we have freedom of speech here or what?? – then this thread will be made inactive by the end of the day so if you have anything else to add…

If I may use the words of an intellectually challenged President: “Bring it on!”
Scott: that is not a good idea, let it rain for the rest of legitimate people that post here. IF you make it inactive for whatever reason it will throw shadows into this issue.

Let the thread ride it’s normal way without your INTERFERENCE, one way or the other.

Let the posters ” Bring it on” without a time frame from you, what do you have to loose.

    Scott:

I can smell a “RAT” in the internet with my small broadband and after searching all his leads in his post, I found nothing. His return addy does not work because I e-mailed him directly and I got a “Failure” from the e-mail POSTMASTER.

    Lines Overseas Management (Cayman) LOM Ltd does exist but the only dirt I found was;

    http://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/2010/lr21696.htm

and your name was not mentioned “ONCE”.

I don’t agree with you 100%, heck not even 50% sometimes but just like the poster above wrote; Character Assassination is so easy in the internet and done in many manners, some even look LEGIT.

carlitos is a disgrunted past worker/associate that carries a BIG chip in shoulder towards you, you better be carefull with cowards that hide in the shadows VS. men that come and challenge you face to face.

And I can tell this (carlitos) is not a Tico, maybe in his 30-40’s but lives in CR.

OK!! I will bite on this one. Of course Scott makes money out of his web site in terms of commisions, recommending realtors. I know this but what is your “POINT”. Is he mking DIRTY money because he is connected to some people with money in Costa Rica?, then prove it.

That people don’t like his book seems like a big issue to you but is that a CRIME!!!

That he CLAIMS to be a Royal Commando. Lived in New York and got a divorce?? Moved to the Cayman island and then to Costa Rica?

Show me some legal documents where he was charged and found GUITY of stealing anything since 1988 to the present or I will think you have an AX to grind.

    Show me the PROOF.

Only in America (USA) can you have both ways. No illegals allowed to cross the border from Mexico but the US sends thousands of weapons illegaly to Mexico to the drug cartels which have killed thousands every year.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/06/09/arsenal-found-in-mexico-contains-guns-from-us-probe/

What a way to Fight the War on Drugs. One side against and another helping the Cartels.

Tell you something; without the migrant Mexican workers there would be a lot os states that would not survice because they are the ones that pick the agricultural harvests. Oranges, strawberries, Avocados, Tomatoes, and more than 80% of the vegetables you buy at the store.

I can bet my house that if 1,000 “white” Protestants landed in Plymouth Rock in a Mayflower “Part 2” scenario. Congress would grant them an immediate amnesty.

Same thing in Costa Rica with the Nicas.

And even WORSE with the situation in Israel and the Palestine people.

The worst part is that WE KNOW what is happening and allow it by electing the same corrupt politicians, over and over, again and again.
