Roger;
Here in FL you cannot use any fertilizer during the rainy season, WHY???
these fertilizers use NITROGEN and when it rains it spills into the water sewers wich in turn discharge into rivers
And they create ALGEA in the rivers. It Clouds the top of the river and stops the OXIGEN at the bottom, fish, turtles, and all water animals who live under will DIE
Does a NEW canal have a negative impact in the environmental of Nicaragua, only the same as in Panama
Will it happen in Nicaragua??? NOT IN 100 YEARS!!!
PS: Scott: STOP editing my posts, If you do it to ME!!! you do it to others and it ain’t FUNNY

pay CLOSE attention to this Phrase:
Water issues
Gatun locks showing the “mule” locomotives at workGatun Lake is filled with rainwater, and the lake accumulates excess water during wet months. The water is lost to the oceans at a rate of 101,000 m3 (26,700,000 US gal; 22,200,000 imp gal) per downward lock-cycle. Since a ship will have to go upward to Lake Gatun first and then descend, a single passing will cost double the amount; but the same waterflow cycle can be used for another ship passing in the opposite direction. The ship’s submerged volume is not relevant to this amount of water. During the dry season, when there is less rainfall, there is also a shortfall of water in Gatun Lake.aguirrewarMemberGOOGLE
Captain Paul Watson and find out what a “BLACK” eye CR is getting alllLLL over the world
some forums have come out with a position to BOYCUT CR and Paul said “NO”
Paul was at a Conference in Germany when the GOVT. of CR asked for an arrest warrant against Paul, he landed in JAIL in Germany for 9 days thanks to this request to the INTERPOL
and while Laura was in Germany, 300 Germans protested in front of Laurita’s HOTEL
CR being ECO-friendly???
look up the protests against her in PUNTARENAS and in favor of Paul
Paul was on his way to CR in his ship the (SEA Sheaperd) when he found out a ship from Puntarenas that was harvesting sharks in a protected ZONE
and he was going to CR to provide the same safe support he did in the Galapagos for Isla del COCO and for FREE to both of them
find out the dates he went to a trial in Puntarenas and both times he was absolved but now 12 years later CR has a solid case against him
I think “TAIWAN” and their mentality of justice is being practiced in CR
aguirrewarMemberInteresting POST, Victoria and with this Congress.
COULD YOU KEEP QUIET ON THIS “idea”
IF!!!! they read WLC and find out about this
POOF//// there goes your SS benefits if you move out of the USA.

there is more than what Scott posted and it is way “MORE”

FACEBOOK is all over the world and impacts all economies regardless of income, language or borders
Consider a LETTER sent from the USA to Australia and it will be there in 4-5 days
Facebook is instant compared to the USPS
IF!!! there is any argument, consider compAnies like Vonage, SKYPE and the internet
aguirrewarMemberAbsolutely;
I have traveled and lived in many countries but with a CAVEAT.
The US Gov. sent me there and I had a paychech, roof over my head, medical, dental and FREE school for my kids.
France, Germany, Spain, Panama, Costa Rica and Mejico were home for some time and all payied by tax money while I served in the US military.
Every time I would have a move I prepared my kid’s which were born in Germany, Panama and Costa Rica in that order and their question was always “WHY do we have to move again”. Then after 6 months in the NEW place they settled down.
If you are not exposed to this environment you could not posible understand the consequences.
I never had the GEOGRAPHIC escape, meaning that if I left this place my problems would stay behind and I could start a NEW life. Deal with your personal problems and FIX them before considering moving to another country.
aguirrewarMemberRead some more on the POWER WalMart has in Central America.
http://www.walmartstores.com/AboutUs/9763.aspx
if you think they play like IKEA, think again
WalMart is 100 times more powerfull than IKEA and also more ruthless
they also have Sam’s Club, same company
FORBES names the Walton’s as the 10 most profitable familes in the world
aguirrewarMemberYou are bad with numbers and dates the numbers I came with come with the NEWS published.
Why don’t you put a BID for $20,000,000.00 and prove me wrong. At the end of the sale is he making a PROFIT or ending with a LOSS and don’t spin Numbers and ideas, $$ does not have an opinion it is either .99 cents or $1.00 dollar.
The difference is the Dollar has 100 pennies and not 99
aguirrewarMemberVMC;
You have the right set of mind to live anywhere in the world even in the Sahara desert or the North Pole.
It is people like YOU that will be missed in my community, people with that strange courage to PACK and MOVE to another place.
That is what made the USA when the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth Rock over more than 200 years ago and you are not different.
I will NOT pass judgement over you for leaving us, we need you to stay but if your fight is OVER and you believed in the “Give me your sick and tired people” to move to Costa Rica then GOOD LUCK.
You will be an asset to wherever you go and I salute your service. It is people like you that make it in life without a “CHIP” in their shoulder.
SEE you in Costa Rica in 2013, I still have to vote in 2012 and it will be my last one in the USA.
aguirrewarMemberActor Mel Gibson has relisted his Costa Rica property for $29.8 million.
The private 500-acre beachfront-and-jungle compound first came on the market in 2010 for $35 million.
Located on the Nicoya Peninsula.Let me SEE!!!
35 – 29.8 = a net loss of 5.2 million dollars
and that was back in 2010, today it is 2012 (2 years)
a 5.2 million LOSS in 2 years
I thought Costa Rica was a great place to buy real estate
aguirrewarMemberIn order for a pet to fly in the cabin the enclose (Container) in which the pet will fit in must be;
16″ long
10″ in height
6″ wide
if it fits, IT IS SHIPPED
and “NO” it cannot be stuffed into this container the pet must be alble to turn inside this space
my Dachshund is 24″ L, 10″ H and 6″ W and will FIT in this container if I used the “SARDINE” approach but unfortunately the Air Lines have the last word.

The very definition of socialism is to benefit the majority at a smaller cost to the individual’s freedoms and property rights. Taking the property which constitutes Manuel Antonio from the French individual who was the owner and making it into a nacional park IS socialism, for good or bad.
The term “old fashioned” is not the same as conservatism. Verbal and physical greetings are not a definition of a political mind set. You need to look up the definition of “socialism”. Maybe them you will see your country in a truer light.[/quote]
You have to be KIDDIN me”
“Taking the property which constitutes Manuel Antonio from the French individual who was the owner and making it into a nacional park IS socialism, for good or bad.”
ever heard of the Law that, that, that (repeated 3 times) states “imminent domain”???
OMG, a French who bought out a PATRIMONY that belongs to the whole population of CR was reimbursed for his purchase
I guess you would be crying if the Gov. of CR would take the land out from Mel Gibson. (not Fair??)
when I talk to “TICOS” and try to explain ideas like yours, they LAUGHT and say “GRINGOS” with an exclamation point
imposing your outside ideas to the culture of CR will get you branded as the UGLY American
go to la Nacion.com and post your opinions and see what happens
have a nice day
March 8, 2012 at 3:21 am in reply to: Costa Rica’s Chinchilla Calls for Drug Legalization Debate #202259aguirrewarMemberWould a country that makes these decisions to conserve many Forests and I mean the WHOLE country is in favor of this idea be considered Socialist??
Costa Rica is an old fashion idea of what you might consider a Democracy with some liberal ideas. Imprinted by it’s religion and culture then by it’s goverment.
Ever considered the idea of a Mercado LIBRE?? It is old fashion idea and comes from the 1600 but still maintained in CR
Even it’s transportation roads and infrastructure, which are designed for the benefit of moving a MASS of people, 250,000 people transit every day in San Jose with the Bus, taxi system.
I think you live in a country that you don’t understand completely, deep down there is the real Costa Rica, the one that makes it UNIQUE to other countries.

You did say that you understand Spanish??
By the way my wife is Tica and my oldest son was born in Costa Rica AND I have lived and visited CR for the last 40 years.
Que tengas un buen dia
