Thanks for making me laugh out loud Versatile, I’ve never been called “anti-semantic” before.

    Hilarious!

This has been an interesting experience… If one looks at my original post, the one and only part that mentions the fact that the new Ambassador is Jewish is here:

“What do you think? Is this right? Even if the new US Ambassador to Costa Rica is now an Orthodox Jew should he not be expected to attend the 4th July celebration?”

I can not see anything in that question which is ‘anti-semantic’ or more accurately ‘anti-semitic?’

I also can’t see where I show disrespect to the USA that allegedly treated me so well….

Admittedly in my newsletter I did joke about how the ‘Jews normally stay indoors to sacrifice small Christian children but surely they could make an exception on the 4th July?”

    And?

    This was OBVIOUSLY humor…

But of course it’s only funny when the Jews make fun of everybody else, right? We can’t make a joke about them at all otherwise they all whine like little old women and play the ‘poor old me’ victim card again.

Which reminds me of an old saying which could apply to humour too: “To find out who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”

So finally, if you are an ‘anti-semantic’ 😆 or, you don’t have a sense of humour then go ahead and unsubscribe, life’s too short!

Holding the actual stock certificates may sound like a nice idea but…

    From the SEC website:
    —————————

The advantages of holding a physical certificate include:

The company knows how to reach you and will send all company reports and other information to you directly.

You may find it easier to pledge your securities as collateral for a loan if you hold the certificates yourself in physical certificate form.

    The disadvantages include:

When you want to sell your stock, you will have to send the certificate to your broker or the company’s transfer agent to execute the sale. This may make it harder for you to sell quickly.

If you lose your certificate, you may be charged a fee for a replacement certificate.

If you move, you will have to contact the company with your change of address so that you do not miss any important mailings.

    —————————

    Does that help?

I am not American but certainly believe that a ‘US Ambassador’ should be setting an example for others and showing his loyalty to the USA first.

I don’t ‘scare-monger’ sweikert925, I do try to share important information with our VIP Members, some of whom actually live in Costa Rica.

We all know that the government is faultless and would never give you conflicting information so you can choose to do with this what you wish when you eventually decide to leave the tropical climes of Chicago!

    Have a nice day!

I would suggest that no matter what ‘confidentiality’ you may be promised, your personal information will be shared with your government therefore I would strongly encourage you to operate under the assumption that your government knows everything.

You need an attorney FAST! Today!

A property manager won’t touch this if someone else is living there claiming they own the property…

We’ve bought a lot from Canet

In Spanish you would be looking for ‘persianas.’

Canet is not cheap but they’re very professional.

I am no GMO expert but I do respect Dr. Mercola’s opinions on this and other health related subjects.

Would love to hear your opinion pharg:

“Further highlighting the lack of consensus, a statement signed by 300 scientists, researchers, physicians, and scholars was published in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Sciences Europe on January 24, unequivocally asserting that there is no scientific consensus on the safety of GMOs….

There are in fact a large number of scientists who say there’s no evidence demonstrating that GE foods are safe, and contrary to industry claims, a number of independent studies have raised serious health concerns…

A 2012 nutritional analysis of GE versus non-GE corn also found significant differences in nutritional content, which refutes claims that GE foods are nutritionally equivalent to conventional foods. Non-GE corn contained 437 times more calcium, 56 times more magnesium, and 7 times more manganese than GE corn. GE corn was also found to contain 13 ppm of glyphosate, a pesticide recently classified as a Class 2A probable human carcinogen, while none was detected in the non-GE corn.”

I do not know of an ‘ASPCA equivalent web site’ in Costa Rica and if we had one it would of course be in Spanish, right?

My April 2006 article entitled ‘Costa Rica’s New International Airport to be Built in the Sierpe Valley – Maybe…’ was written a long time ago but apart from the fact that the article looked at a new airport in the Southern Zone, I think a lot of the information there is still correct although the prices will have increased dramatically.

In that article we examined at the costs, at that time for the following airports: Port Seattle, St. Louis, Honduras, Ecuador and Colombia.

Please let me know where you think my logic may be misplaced with regards to this story as I am happy to rethink this…
If and when Costa Rica decides to build another international airport, it won’t need one anywhere near as big (or expensive) as the two you cite.

A better yardstick would be these two recently built airports
The two airports were specifically mentioned by La Republica and I agree that Denver and Istanbul are way too big to compare to Costa Rica’s traffic but, even in the extremely unlikely event that Costa Rica was to build an “international airport” for as low as a coupla hundred million – ‘cos we know it’ll cost 2-3 times as much as anywhere else – then we still don’t have that money!
