I am sorry to say that Marvin is doing what the previous attorney did.
They were great the first couple weeks. Now it is unanswered emails. A week to get back on the phone. His website was not renewed. His emails are full. I have come up with some great strategies. However no action. I am not blaming you. I just want you to know.

Tom you are correct. This country has been one of the biggest disappointments. I am now in the lawyer loop. Marvin was good initially. Now this is the second time his email box has filled up. As Tom said The website expired. Their secretary is nice but she never knows when he is coming in just after 2 PM. She can’t tell me where to wire funds. I get this 3 paragraph letter initially about how thye run their practice. They charge more but that is because they have fewer clients and can then handle them with TLC. So I finally scraped together $1000 to wire Marvin and you know what? I might as well contact my former attorney that is holding my coporate books worth $500K of land that I can’t even show ownership of and ask him how much he wants to settle. In a previous forum they discuss how to get you money safely here. Keep your money is the USA and buy everything on credit here. Tell everyone you are heavily into debt.

    Try http://www.everbank.com
6 per cent interest and you can buy CD’s or switch into any currency like the Euro that I did. You see what happens to the colone? The same is happening to the dollar. Do you believe the exchange ratio was 40 to 1. It was illegal for Costa Ricans to own dollars. Here is a killer I think if you sold your property you couldn’t take US$s out of the country. That was a short 20 tears ago. Yes FDIC insured.
    Thanks a heap.

    Hey Terry
I am not sure, it would be a shame if it was lowered? These laws never hit the criminals, they hurt the law abiding citizen. It is like the gun questionairre questions. Are you a convicted felon?
In CR it is almost impossible to own a gun, however look at their crime rate? In Texas do you have the right to carry a gun?. I respect your right. I respect your right to do whatever you want with your money. This is starting to sound like preaching but I will say this. Why did our forefathers put these rights in the Constitution? The right to bear arms. only make gold and silver money. the right to property and most sadly today the power to declare war. You can see what is happening.
    Thanks

I have taken $60K cash out of the bank and filled out a form. It is my money. Unless a country like Venezuela prohibits US dollars in any amount what is the problem? The US the last time I looked is still a free country. People have died fighting for freedom. Our men and women are dieing in Iraq as I write this. US Gold Eagles are legal tender. Ther are $100 dollar coins. The coin is legal tender whatever the price of gold is. If gold drops to $50 an oz what is the coin worth? $100. Same for $20 gold pieces.

    CitiBank
You can open an account over the internet. It is one of the largest banks with many services. You can do wires over the internet for $30.
There are cheaper ways to transfer. Find a bank that is common to CR and the USA. Banco Popular. Check and see if they have links.
The beauty of Citibank is you can wire anyplace there is a computer.

The antenna’s work up to 10 miles. Another thing you can do is add an amplifier to the DSL syetem, that will increase your wifi pickup or sign up for satellite dsl.

Marvin is sharp. He said he would rather take on fewer clients charge more but be accessable and get the job done. Come down to Bandera Beach Estates and I will give you a super deal on a house.

Thanks Charlie I emailed him twice and he responded within 24 hours and so far has agreed to help me. He is very intellegent and has the ability to think outside the box. I forgot to ask about fees do you know what he charges per hour and how many people are in his office?
    I will mention your name.
    Thanks again

Sir Concession property is beach property. If you are not within 200 meters of the high tide mark you are ok. By the way with an SA corporation you have 6 Corporate Books. I would suggest that you keep these books in YOUR possession. They are Coporate property NOT the attorney’s. You can not make any changes in your corporation without the books. You can take the books to any attorney to make any changes but if your books are kept by your attorney and most offices are 1 person attorney’s, what do you do if he dies, or you have a disagreement-we are dealing with a different culture here- you are screwd. You can write in the shareholders’ book in the event of my death all shares transfer to you wife or you can put down my name.
