You are talking about an SA or Society Anonomous Corp. According to Peterson’s Book THAT SCOTT SELLS there is another type of Corporation that is very similial to our LLC in the USA. This Corporation can be registered in the USA and though you would lose some anamonity you can transfer the shares with ease in the US without going to Costa Rica. It is my understanding that in the shareholders book you can write in the event of my death all shares transfer to you wife or you can put down my name or better yet if you have no one write down Scott Oliver for the support of this website.

You beat me to the puch David. Wouldn’t you agree that most property is not listed in a coporation?
The only way a non Costa Rican can buy concession property is in a Corporation owned by CR Nationals.

There is a set fee in Peterson’s Book. I have a good attorney that charges $20 an hour or $95 a day. I figured that I wasn’t getting anything from the high price people. She is in San Jose She quoted me $300 for a Corporation. She doesn’t speak English very well but I figured for that price, I can certainly find a bilingual person. She is a fighter and doesn’t back down or become intimidated by other attorneys. Again buy Peterson’s Book from Scott. It is invaluable. Also buy Scott’s book How to buy Real Estate…..
The attorney’s name is Lorrena Villalobos email is mvillalobos@780tech.com 240-7307 phone cell 372-1413
single with several college age children. $20 per hour in San Jose

PS I don’t think you need an attorney to do the residency application. In fact I see that if I invest $200K in a project I can apply for investor residency status. Can someone remind me what benefit I would have?
My $20 per hour attorney answers in spanish and then I cheat using alta vista translations:
What such Don Stanley.? If I make all the proceedings, collection five hundred dollars by temporary residence, plus the expenses, that can be one hundred dollars. Until soon.

Spotted your comment, do they speak english and approximately what do they pay per hour? Do they call you back within a reasonable time? Can I send an
email to them? Here is a fellow that is an expert on Civil and Taxes. He speaks english and he has an assistant Diana that is studying to be a lawyer. Diana speaks excellent english. They are also good with Developments and Concessions. Lawyer $100 and assistant $60 PLUS they have a toll free number out of Miami from Vonage that costs $35 per month flat fee.

Tested the Express Mail service at the CR Post Office. $20US for the fastest service from San Jose. I live 60 miles north of Chicago and received the 1 pound package in 4 business days. I paid someone by personal check for $1600US in San Jose. It was deposited in the National Bank and 8 business days later it cleared my account here in Wisconsin.
Postage in Costa Rica is a bargain. I think our Post Office box here in Parrita was $12 year. Scott the Post Office went private didn’t it?
How much does an average Postal Worker make per hour???

Because Costa Rica is a free country. I am in Agreement that Cafta with my Country, the United States will destroy jobs in Costa Rica as NAFTA did in ours. In the US the Government subsidizes our farmers, for one we will dump our grains on your country most of your farmers will be out of a job. Costa Rica’s family farms will be destroyed. What will survive is the super rich farming conglomerates.
Also I will try to protect your right to speak on this Forum
