    Sir
I used money gram the first time to China. All I had to put down is the person’s name. The person with His/ID goes in to many locations in CR. Try to get that persons 4 names.
On the internet you can send with a deduction from your account.

I am on Playa Bandera First house next to Anna’s and Victor’s Pulparia, they have since rented to a bar. Someone just broke in to my house and stole my 32 inch TV. I have a 36 inch that I am going to ship down. This is one with a picture tube. Let see them trying to pick that up. You can plug in a Magic Jack to DSL in CR They give you a US number and if you call out walla it is free from the number in the US.
28800k got you down I have data compression phones that allow you to talk and phone at that snails pace. There is one hotel in San Jose that charges 1.75 a minute to call anywhere in the world his cost thru skype 6 cents a minute. Robert he makes more money off his phone service than he does the hotel.

    Hi Robert
If I don’t get it today , I will post it tomorrow. I am trying to import 1200 color tvs to Costa Rica and my contact just mentioned it and the last day she has been sick with the flu. If Scott dosn’t mind me mentioning the TVs here, I will knock the price of the TVs down by twice the amount you give to Scott’s favorite Charity. Or Scott would you prefer I take out an ad on your site.
    Thank you

This Gentlemen as I see it is trying to get some answers to his questions and according to item j. he is NOT receiving any replies from the Condo association. He is desperately seeking information from you because he trusts you. Certainly if you have promoted Avalon in he past and /or continuing to do so, you must give these people answers, this is where the buck stops.

Sorry to hear that you are having concerns about your investment. As a small developer myself, the signs you have pointed out are serious compounded by their lack of communication to you. Even if the developers are having cash flow problems, the condo fees should be used to keep up the property. Not pay back bills. The Condo laws are very specific in CR. I suspect they are breaking some laws. You need to approach this from a criminal aspect, NOT CIVIL. My attorney Hugo Salizar is one of the top criminal lawyers in Costa Rica. He charges $40 to review a case. Don’t wait, send him an email right away. After all it is YOUR money. I will tell Hugo to expect your email.
    Good Luck

Costa Rica is a Country where you don’t want to put all you plans in one basket. Try to be flexible. I have found that several ideas I have had will not work in CR. There are plenty of Tico’s that run companies like this so there is alot of competition. Also Ticos in the business are not going to tell you how to compete against them.
Scot has a couple of articles on how many businesses actually succeed.

    Randy Berg
Has been joked about on this Bulletin Board before and I never have found any truth to any of it. Scott has a nice piece of property advertised that I would love to buy. Is there any law against a group of people getting together and buying property as a group.
Randy puts up some very interesting properties. A house close to the beachfront for $31K, $22K? Most developers get more than this for building your home here. Some con men have asked this for a downpayment that was lost. The point being is that Randy has advertised some very interesting properties. I have always found Randy to be honest and sincere traits that are lacking in Costa Rica. Plus I don’t see that he was charged with anything!

    So What?
Is it ok for Aries to turn Costa Rica’s back on Taiwan and recognize the red chinese?
The free world enimies with the largest army in the world? Bushy wants to give his rich friends $700,000,000,000.00 and let our enimies in China buy up the bonds and pay the Chinese interest on top of it. You don’t see the $700 billion written with all the zeros. Please cite me one case where Chavez has illegally confiscated ANY property that had the proper paperwork and gave the farms back to the poor people along with a free tractor and subsidized food. This was property that was stolen from the poor to begin with. Chavez has been elected by an overwhelming majority of the people not once , twice but many times. Bushy is afraid people in the USA are going to want election by majority. Chavez offered the USA oil at $40 a barrel for a long term contract. Bushy said no. Boy Chavez really got it stuck to him. Now Chavez is selling Venezuelan coffee in the Citgo gas stations Venezuela owns: the coffee is better and cheaper.

    Gentlemen
This is not a forum for arguing. You two need to sit down with Hugo and the firm’s attorney and resolve this matter. Cheetah ask Hugo if you should be doing this in a public forum.

    Sir
This is what the firm charges. This information was gathered by the people that do errands for people that don’t always live in CR. I emailed him this AM and had an answer within hours. Hugo knows Ed and Julia
Rates from $60-$90 for an assistant, $100 to $150 to little or medium experienced
attorney and $150 to $225 for senior members. They have about 42 attorneys in
    the firm.
I have had good CR abogados for $20 hr. or $95 a day

So I guess was wrong or is it close enough for CR Time?
Are you looking for property or a position? Ask Hugo about mine.

    Sir
Why do you need 3 attorneys? You need to buy 2 books from Scott. His real estate book and Peterson’s law Book. The law book is the only book I know of written in English by an American lawyer that has passed the bar in Costa Rica. Then buy Henderson’s Book. So
if you take the time to read all these books you will have answers to 99% of your questions. The resident agent and his or her adress becomes the focal point to receive correspondence of the Corporation. A resident agent can be anyone that lives in CR. You have to make sure that in the Corp By Laws you don’t give the resident agent any power in the Corp. It is just like an LLC in the USA. I have my attorney Hugo Salazar perform the duties of Resident agent so he keeps the taxes square. I can not cite you exact figures but it is cheaper to buy and transfer real estate in a corporation. I know an American that provides this service and other services for other Americans.
I have paid my taxes, phone bills, water permits. I have a checking account with BNCR and I see that the Banks are going to be interlinked through the internet. I have bee in and out of property since the early 1990’s and have never gone to CR to pay anything.
