my two cents: Hyundai Galloper or Toyata Fortuner.

i’m suprised nobody has mentioned the fortuner. ours have been great, no problems at all; great off-road and on. i guess i’m partial! But the Galloper is a great too, can’t go wrong there.

i agree with Scott, prescription drugs play a large role in all this. what many people don’t think about is what happens when one STOPS taking the anti-depressants or benzodiazepines or opioids. all those things suddenly stop flooding the brain with artificial neurotransmitters and the effects are dramatically worse than the original condition. take into account the erratic use of these drugs from someone who may or may not be “ill,” add that to an over-medicated population (especially youth), and i think it is absolutely a factor that has to be taken into consideration when these awful things happen.

Hmm, i thought the reason they made laptops was so they could be carried around??? (sorry i had to!) anyway, yeah it is kinda broad, but my question doesnt pertain so much as to “where”, as much as “what.” so for people that have their own connection, let me narrow it a bit: the south central pacific coast, up in the mountains above Dominical. you see, i know that scott, as well as many others on this forum, live in the central valley; where it might be easier to get internet access. all i’m wandering is if you can buy a plug-in usb adapter for your laptop and connect to the internet (obviously subscribing to a service). This is something pretty common in Europe, Canada, and the States; i see the commercials on the tele all the time. They connect to satellites, thats why i’m wandering if it would work in Costa Rica. my grandmother is old and not very tech savvy (hence laptop vs desktop), but it is important that i get her an internet connection for communication purposes. i just thought that, since this is an internet forum, people could share how they get connected…
