I have had a condo in Playa Del Coca for 5yrs. and I just found a good Mgmt. comp. The woman that does my is Cassie in Mapache. I will tell you from experience there are a lot of people down there that promise you the world and do nothing. I am in Calif. where are you moving from.

You can go online and use Dollar or Hertz and they will pick u up at the airport and do an online reservation that requires nothing other than a flight #. They are much cheaper than Mapache. I would not fax my credit card there or passport. I have had a home there for 5yrs. and never had to do what is expected of you

Scott you are funny are you not the same Jim Jones who gives tips on how to utilize swiss bank accounts and divert money so you won’t be taxed. I see, now someone who is not breaking the residency law but using it to their bennifit should be looked down upon, hmmm. I was just watching CNN and they said there was going to be a huge space ship landing and all who wanted to get out before the civil unrest or they lock the boarders can go. CNN said the landing site will be given at the 5 o-clock news hour. I think you should RELAX don’t worry and you will be fine Cost Rica is not going anywhere or is it.
I must say Scott Im not sure if you are American or not but you do appear to be a doomdayer. I mean all this talk about civil unrest in the US. It is obvious by reading alot of these people look up to you in one way or another, you have one response indicating he is having document trouble and he is asking you if he will be there in time before all hell breaks lose in the US. I think your investment advice is great and you do well but they lookup to you like Jim Jones, do you remember dear Mr Jones in Guyana. I do love Costa Rica and I my thank lucky red, white and blue stars that I am an American and I am very proud of my country. The US has been on hard times before and ALWAYS recovered and we will again WITHOUT civil unrest. I guess if you were talking about Europe and the take over by the Muslims I could see civil unrest.
Yah I guess you are right Chavez and his sick mental condition are the result of the american way of life and our government. I don’t recall an american president acting the way this childish dictator did while visiting the United Nations. I guess that type of behavior in public is mild in comparision to how this little sicko is to his own people. I don’t recall tha last time an american president took land from the rich to give to the poor. In America if you work hard and save you can achieve things but if you choose to drop out of school and expext hand outs from the government then what. I guess we should not have meddled in France, Japan, Kuwait,Somalia and so on.
That is a big step even for a married couple let alone a single mother. I have prop. there and we live visiting, you must consider the citizenship and what it requires to become one. I suggest you visit a couple of diffrent areas to get a feel of what you want for you and your children. The faster they learn spanish the better off they will be but as we know kids are like sponges and learn quickly. You did not mention do you need to work, the laws are diffrent for non citizens as far as jobs. I would not go to San Jose unless you are in love with LA.

Im happy to reply and I can speak from experience regarding your comment about the prison situation and the type of individual it breeds. I am in the field and have been for over 23yrs. and you basicly hit the nail on the head with your comments. I said and will say again search my lap top Ipod and anything else you think necessary to ensure the safety of the flight Im on and the country I live in. I think the forum here forgot to mention the sickos that are caught breaking Amreican laws when they enter the country. Child molesters, Drug smugglers and probably several others we don’t hear about. I will say the USA that I grew up to love is ever changing and is on the down stroke of what we as Americans sent young men and women to fight and die for. I think when TYSON FOODS takes away Labor Day and gives the Muslims a Religious holiday and a prayer room I will no longer eat any TYSON FOODS product. I also think when the so called future leader of the great United States elects to remove the American Flag from his 757 airliner and will not wear a flag on his lappel we are in trouble.
