Been to Carribean side 3 times and loved it every time. Coahuita is nice but just a couple minutes south of Puerto Viejo is Playa Cocles…Punta UVA and some other small charming spots. A number of very nice bungalow style hotels and I’ve also stayed in a very nice vacation rental there too. Very laid back and mellow there. Some good little restaurants and basic shopping in Puerto Viejo. Lifestyle there very different compared to the rest of CR but I like it a lot, rain or shine.
Since China was at the very top of the list maybe the moral is that we should all move to China.

Realistically, I’m guessing it would be around 3 months before the deal is closed (assuming it gets closed) and ready to be shown out to potential prospects. [/quote]Well, I initiated the other thread regarding cost of mammogram in C.R. on behalf of my wife to whom it was suggested by her physician that she get one down(we’re in SO. CA.). I was surprised that the cost in CR was $40 – $80 roughly. Coincidentally, I asked her yesterday if she looked into the cost of the procedure here locally and she actually had it done yesterday morning. Cost: $89.00
For some reason, I was expecting cost to be way….way…more than that.
Seems to be a consensus building that diving on Pacific is not all that great. Anyone able to comment from experience on the Caribbean side?

$1MM for an environmental study?? I could do that for a LOT less and a LOT faster! Matter of fact—wouldn’t take me more than 5 minutes…..
After about a dozen trips to CR I finally made my first visit to The Osa 2 years ago followed by another one last year. I’ve now been to all 4 corners of CR and lots of in the middle and I can say without a doubt that The Osa has been the most beautiful. pristine region by far that I have visited and [b]I HOPE[/b] it [b]STAYS[/b] that way. There is no need to turn that region into another Tamarindo type area.
Do you know if conceptually the same applies to using your IRA to investing in real estate in the U.S.? I know the report you referenced is specific to Costa Rice but my interest is in investing to domestic US real estate. Thx.
