Ok thanks Rosie. I do know the number so I’ll try that and talk to my lawyer friend. I guess worst case scenario after I go home in March I’ll be back in July and can do it then .
chasebeagle2000ParticipantOk thanks. No I have no cedula because I am only here twice a year for 3 months Dec- March (less than 90 days) and 6 weeks July -Aug.Question- I have a lawyer friend here who will do the notary paper but I didn’t bring my old passport. Do you know if I have to take the old passport to Registry or is just the affidavit from the notary and new passport sufficient? Thanks for y’alls help.
chasebeagle2000ParticipantThe best one I found and most reasonable priced is a guy named Allen–don’t remember his shops name but he is in Santa Ana not far from multi-plaza. I bring my car over from Jaco and it is usually out same day unless there is anything major. Much cheaper and better than anyone else I found . His number is 8502-6305.
chasebeagle2000ParticipantDon–No you can pay online only with BCR acct.
chasebeagle2000ParticipantI have been looking for a car since I spend 6-8 months here and have researched makes and models out the kazoo–on internet this site and others and with friends who have been here years and mechanics from Jaco and in SJ, and almost everyone I talked to said stay away from Jeeps here–parts hard to get etc. All said Toyota or Hyundai. Some said Nissan but my best buddy has Nissan and I have to bring parts from US everytime I come so if you go Nissan make sure it is not US Nissan–don’t know where CR Nissans are made but hear they are ok. I bought Hyundai and no problems at all with parts and service. Pura Vida Pawdna!
chasebeagle2000ParticipantOK Thanks.
chasebeagle2000ParticipantI have been an attorney for 37 years and am in the process of closing my business to move to CR full time by mid-2012 and I have been studying the CR statutes and laws for a while including this proposed tax bill and must admit all of you are correct–no one really knows what or if it will be–even my CR attorney can’t be sure of the interpretation. My latest conclusion is that if you have a corp for your house/condo or your car or phone etc you will be taxed at the lower rate IF you properly do the paperwork to declare them inactive as income producing corps–but my question is–what if you want to sell your corp? Can you sell an inactive corp? If someone wiser than me knows I appreciate any info and knowledge. Of course what is true today may be different manana!
chasebeagle2000ParticipantThank You David
chasebeagle2000ParticipantI arrived on 23rd with 3 –2 new in boxes for amigos in Jaco and my personal one. Nobody said a word
chasebeagle2000ParticipantThanks I’ll be in Jaco in a week and will check it out.
