Way to go Bradbard!!! Finally someone down here in Costa Rica challenges all these right wing ers living here in Costa Rica. It always spooks me that after reading so many of these boards that it is just full of people like this guy who all he seems to be concerned about is whether an election in a foreign country will affect his pocket book. The fact that Nicaraugua is one the poorest countries in the world has absolutely no concern to him whatsoever.

Being a Canadian, it just drives me crazy that so many Americans think it is thier “god-given” right to meddle in so many other countries political affairs. And so many of the rest that don’t have “passionate opinions” on the subject is just to “have another cervasa”. Just what the Republicans are counting on. They can not deal with rationality. They have to change the subject and if that is not possible they have to leave the room.

I was watching this interview with people that had voted for George Bush and what their current opinions were. It just floored me. One guy said… “I can not believe I was so stupid to have voted for that guy a second time”.

Now,… what does he mean “Was” HELLO!!!! I don’t believe this guy had not one but 2 momenatry lapses in judgement.

Please don’t stop expressing the truth. The world is counting on you.

And if you are in Puerto Viejo. I would love you to stop in. You will also note the lack of right leaning types here in PV. Too many hippies, blacks, indians etc.

    Cheers, Colin.

Well Joe, you fired the first shot. You make some broad sweeping generalizations about people here and people fired back, now you want a truce? We’re not at war. Are you?

Have the thought of maybe an apology have crossed your mind?

And as asked numerous times? just what was your point? Were you just trying to get a dig at people who might be talking life a little less seriously and easier than you do? Or maybe your jealous? Only you know your true motives for making these kinds of statements, but I can only guess them.

As for your remark about wishing people well and good luck, i hardly feel it is sincere… so why bother? In regards to being happy, yes, I am happy. Are you sure you are?

Still paying taxes in Canada (if it was any of your business. I just thought you would feel better so you knew i was not getting a “free ride”) and “hopefully lost” in Puerto Viejo.

PS, Yes, I am a Canadian. I can assure you, we are very good at paying taxes. In fact, much better than Americans. We have to. We have expensive socialist health care.

I have been asked when re-entering from Panama at Sixola. I just pull up my old intinerary in my email and change the dates so it reflects a future date I will supposedly be leaving and print it off. No one has ever questioned it.

Yes, Puerto Viejo is not for everyone, that is what makes it special. I live here and having discovered this place 4 years ago, I can see where most of the rumours and misinformation about the Caribbean have served most expat residents well.

I will take the Caribbean over the Pacific any day.

There are no golf courses or tennis courts. In fact you will have a hard time finding a swimming pool or a room with AC.

If you want better info on PV and what to expect, you might check out my FAQ http://colinsito.blogs.com/banana_azul/2006/04/frequently_aske.html

    or Puerto Viejo Photo tour.
