I agree with Scott & Imxploring. There may be crime in CR, but there is crime everywhere. One thing that really hasn’t been discussed is terrorism. Its not like al qaeda is plotting to blow up bus stations in San Jose…
Relax, David- I’m not talking about having a child only for the sake of gaining my own personal residency. If I’m not mistaken, the child will help facilitate permanent residency by foregoing the two year wait for a temp resident to gain perm residency. Am I right?
So the child gets CR citizenship automatically but the parent do not. That makes sense, and I imagine that it is easier for a temp resident to get perm residency via child birth than it is for a perpetual tourist. I will certainly be consulting with an attorney prior to making my move to CR.
