hey lotus, if scott allows i will continue.
i was very irresponsible for 2009 and 2010.
i was accustomed to selling 12 homes a year and finishing 16 homes per year.
i blindly thought it would never stop.
i am now very aware of the pitfalls of an economic slowdown.
therefore i have become more flexible.
the owner of the costa verde hotel in manuel atonio told me that the only developers that will survive the recession are those that are good at what they do.
we are still here and interested in building for others in other areas.
the price per sq. meter is based on the finishes but if u r fine with our finish the cost is $550 per square meter.
if we are timely with building time then it is a win win.
i feel it is a great time to build as the cost of materials has dropped.
there are more quality multi skilled workers in the labor pool.
i cant bleive that we accomplished as much as we did with the saturated labor pool of the past.crltdMemberhey lotus,
i read you rposte here and on other sites.
let me run this information past scott and see if he passed it along.
cheers!
bob
we currently have 400 square meter lots for $39,000 or 9.00 per square foot.
there could be some typos on the site.
we are changing direction with a 850 sq foot 1/1 with carport, a.c.’s security window system, hard wood cabinets, laptop floor safe ad out side shower for $89,000. (we can do a 2/2 for $120,000)
this is on a 400 square meter lot in a gated community.
the community is a green community with solar packages beginning at $6,000 for hot water and costing $27,000 for full solar package.
we have a community garden and a water treatment plant.
so around $100 per square foot for house and land not counting solar add on’s…
sweet deal.
hey, thanks for checking in.

If they can’t make enough money to survive as a for-profit business, who and why would anyone support them as a non-profit?
Has that worked for other newspapers?
I read the Tico Times online but I would never dream of paying money for it.
What do you think?[/quote]
dear frank,
for those of us who live in costa rica it has always been a privilege to purchase a tico times each friday.
the internet is my main source of information but nothing beats having a news paper in your hands. the smell of the paper, the printers ink on your hands.
yep, although these are the good old days, i do have warm thoughts of delivering papers as a kid and reading the evening edition with my parents.
thanks,
bobcrltdMember22 years is a blessing. congratulations.
the tropical oasis in esterillos centro has a minimum 60 day stay for $10,000 which is pretty inexpensive from what the state’s charge.
good group and one on one therapy. excellent food.
but yeah, they are in it to make money.
take care all,

RBcrltdMembernice to hear from aaron personally. he does a good job of filling in the banks. he is dead on about the economic environment and the fact that we love costa rica is a great place to sort out any mis-perceptions/information.
good luck to all,
bob
crltdcrltdMembercabo caleta’s does in fact have all permits in place. all infrastructure is complete. for better or for worse, i believe that the managing partners want to sell and let another management team to finish the construction process.
cheers!!

crltdcrltdMemberin regards to del pacifico.
unfortunately, they made a decision to build the commercial center before the golf course. as one can plainly see, neither one was completed.
having said that; i know both william ramirez and barry and they are both stand up individuals who stand behind the product they represent. do not let the incomplete commercial center fool you, the infrastructure is in place and many clients are enjoying thyre homes.
sincerely,

yes, chavez is a thorn in latin america’s side and the u.s. is just countering the huge weapons purchase venezula made from russia. all american submarines are nuclear powered to the best of my knowledge. cia took out the honduran pres as he was warming up to chavez and aiming to change the term limits as chavez did. president with no term limits is paramount to dictatorship.
is it our business? teddy roosevelt beleived that any country in our hemisphere was a security threat to the us.
he and president taft afterward basically initiated the policy that we continue today. when columbia would not play ball on the lease to build the canal we just sent a gunboat to colon and gunboat with marines to the west coast, landed our troops and blatantly told the garrison Columbian commander that we have just taken over the zone and named it panama. -
