yep.. that was me

it appears that the “king” Scott found it not useful if any of the little people posted something that not favor the king.

it’s ok that he posts diatribes of bashing the Israelis etc and such

    thats ok πŸ™‚

it’s his board and he can do whatever he wants

I posted not to blame any particular sides but to reveal an ignorance in general of the american populace.

one young lady even suggested we promote corporate losses πŸ™‚

I bow to the king and ask for humble forgiveness
I was in receipt of an email from welovecostarica.com titled “here is an example of the ignorance of americans”, which has apparently been removed, with a link to a youtube.com video,. The video apparently depicts a Republican asking Democratic conventioneers if corporate profits should be banned. The responses are an idication of how little that Americans, as a whole, know about economics.

I have spent many years researching and discussing economic issues as they relate to the American economy and have found that it is not only Democrats who have little understanding of economics. American schools, through high school, do not require any classes on economics and the entire population is totally illiterate when it comes to economics or how economics works. Our universities turn out graduates in economics but I don’t see that they spend much time digging into the historical issues that affect our economy

I do not have an education in economics but if you take a critical look at the decisions that our elected congress has made over the past 60 years you will find that congress itself has little understanding of economic issues or the possible fallout of their legislation.

Since World War 2 the U.S. has been looked to as the economic pillar that drives the world. Up until this century it was true but things have changed. While it is true that Americas economic prowess finally fell apart during the Bush administration there has been a cumulative effect on the economy over the past 60 years that has led to the problems that we now face that are the result of decisions made by nearly every administration and congress, whether Democratic or Republican since Dwight Eisenhower took office.

Blaming one side or the other is an exercise in futility but the fact that the American economy affects the entire planet should be of concern to us all. We feel it here no matter what our sources of income.

you need to get out of the U.S before anything else.

you speak alot of things but yet your in the same situation as you have been for years now.

why would you want to know the article details??

there is a great tool called

GOOGLE that can help you find just about anything if you look.

peoples opinions should not matter since each individual is different

regarding what will happen to Expats in costa rica

    again

this depends on the individual.. correct??

I mean if an expat lives here with debt this changes his options

so many variables that again it would be a moot point discussing this aside from the fact you just have nothing to do except waste time on these discussion boards.

stop talking and take action. πŸ™‚

    that’s a great update

a few years ago before moving here I went out on one of my very last dates in NYC.

this girl had such a feminist type of attitude that any kind words of your hair looks beautiful today she made a nasty remark

then she went on and on about her nails, men are pigs.. etc all during dinner downtown

that I excused myself.. went to the front and gave the cashier about half the money and left her there.

πŸ™‚ that was my very last date

american women unfortunetly are the worst in my humble opinion.

anyone here remember the movie cocoon??

I don’t remember much but I do remember when the old few folks discovered the benefits of the alien eggs in the pool that gave them the fountain of youth.

and they were told to keep it secret

but one of them blabbed to the old folks home and it brought in the masses and ruined everything

    this is costa rica.

don’t you know.. that 80% of the american public gets their life’s experiences from the media

this is how they form thier opinions and life’s value’s

pretty sad state of affairs if you ask me

the majority of Americans are walking around in a state of

    deep sleep

    but no worries

they will all wake up to the realities soon enough

look.. the attornies here are semi retarded for lack of a better word.

one hand doe NOT know what the other is doing and all these new laws are always open to debate

a large majority of S.A.s are created with lawyers having that relationship

do you honestly think these people will all be held responsible and charge them all these fee’s cmon πŸ™‚

it’s ok you paid πŸ™‚ at least you will sleep better

here is the inside scoop. and I cannot reveal the source but according to democratic house leader Harry reid.. word on the street is LOL

the inactive S.A.s will be dissolved in 3 years and if the taxes with late fee’s are not up to date

they will seize any assets that are inside of that corp.

if there are no assets then the corp will dissolve.

how many S.As had secretary’s or family members as board member when you first started the S.A. so what they are going after everyone??

    here is a sliding scale

the worst incompetent profession as a whole are

    Lawyers

the best as a whole are doctors

and then there is everything in between
My lawyer won’t allow me not to pay it, so I did. He said that the lawyer/notary was responsible for all clients where they held their original documents. I think not paying is three percent month penalty. Since my attorney was pretty certain that the government would crack down on not paying, I more then willing paid. Also, he had to go and queue up to pay all his clients, so it was worth is small fee for doing so.
Does anyone know what will happen if you haven’t paid the $125 for corportions that you own when trying to enter or exit the country?
the same thing that happned to the people that did not pay the luxury tax

    N….O…..T…..H…..I…..N…..G… :D:D:D:D:D:D

the only thing that will happen if you have any assets in that corporation and you do NOT Pay for 3 years then they have to the right to exercise closing the coporation and seizing assets

you best bet is to reorganize the assets in 1 corp.. and the rest of them you just let expire and they will dissolve

    YOU GO BOY!!! πŸ˜€

good for you and I will make sure I raise my glass of this nice chilean wine and give you a toast as I sip this under a beautiful costa rican night.

god I hope they don’t send your future kids as fodder in some other war in the name of democracy

what you should do in my opinion is get your head out of your arse and educate your grandchildren.

    to deploy critical thinking

to learn to be Independent and NOT dependent on goverment.

to always give alot more than you take

to always and I mean always evaluate and time to time reevaluate your assumptions keeping the ones that bring you closer to your goals and vision and discard the ones that are no longer valid.

    what a great topic πŸ™‚

I would agree with Scott avoid the dating agencies.

being 42 is a great age because mature men are an asset here and younger women find this attractive being perceived as stable.

    question

    do you speak Spanish?

if you speak Spanish.. excellent. will make your journey much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

if you do NOT speak Spanish ( learn) this in my opinion will make this much more difficult.

you see as we stumble thru life’s adventures. we start to develop our own mojo for lack of a better word

and a significant chunk of that mojo comes thru communication. the art of expression.

things that we soon take for granted.

but sure enough the importance of this is revealed when we meet someone and cannot communicate with them aside from

    1.) translation and body language

    2.) sex ( a universal language)

which is ok initially but really dampens the building of the relationship. if this makes any sense.

then we lose that mojo fumbling for those special words of meaning.

you could always find someone that speaks spanish here which is good.

I would stay away from san jose and explore the more suburban neighborhood provinces.

like Cartago and heredia. near the large malls

Terra mall and the newest mall which will be opening soon.

    paseo de flores mall

where there are tons of fashion stores like tommy hilfinger, hugo boss, carrion, etc. and these stores always attract the lovely ladies

these will be excellent areas to begin.

I will always remember an episode of “Happy days”

am I showing my age lol

when Fonzie ( henry winkler) was showing richie cunnignham ( ron howard) how to pick up chicks in the supermarket buy bumping his food cart into another girls by mistake.

I actually tried this once in automercado.:lol::lol:

BUT I have to warn you.

    latin women are truly intoxicating.

I have traveled the world and stayed single all my life and one day I came here for vacation 15 years ago

and now I have 4 kids and a beautiful wife of 10 years whom I am so in love.

    enjoy the experience

can you imagine how many hours of life that you can never replace by pursuing this course of action. its a huuuuuge endeavor and would take years.

I for one would never allow any type of goverment to take my years of life that is so precious and we have so few of to engage in this bureaucratic time suck.

that’s why you have what I think started in the land of aussie

    the walkabout 8)8)8)

and this is why your seeing more and more normal folks voting with thier feet rather than waste time.

in 2008 there were 200 people that renounced U.S. citizenship.. in 2011 over 1700 renounced citizenship.

now those numbers by themselves are not significant in raw numbers compared to the population

BUT.. in % i for one see a major trend going on. considering how difficult is it to actually renounce

I would speculate there are 100 times more that actually do what we do.

    and I would also speculate

if you took a poll of the people that actually renounce

I would say these people are somewhat affluent. you can be sure as hell that they are not migrant mexicans πŸ˜€

    my point

although I agree with sprite I do NOT agree with his method of exchange. to zealot

reminds me of the hard core politicians don’t do this and don’t do that only to be found doing exactly the action they deemed unworthy.

so sprite if your truly comfortable with your beliefs that’s great.. then share them in a way that can add to the conversation exchange.

    or don’t share

I appreciate the passion you have in your replies but I think you are way too intense for the majority of people when you speak in these topics

I say this because I agree with your core philosophies 100%.

but people have varying degree’s of perspective and there is nothing you will be able to do about except engage in these conversations that will lead nowhere.

    so why bother???

better to exchange ideas in a way that you might be able to extract a detail that may help you become even more detached from the silliness.

like i previously stated I pay NOTHING to the U.S government so I am kind of free to a certain extent.

and living here in costa rica.. thankfully I can always stay a few steps ahead of this government where I almost live a tax free life.

I never say… oh that’s not fair.. πŸ˜€ my objective is to always land on the right side of the equation

I don’t always do this but more often than not.

    so life is great!!!
