Just an update. The number for David is +506 8361-0408. It is in Costa Rica. He’s been a little tough to reach, but you can always leave him a message.

The blood work requirement is bogus. Hospitals will not give you the blood type based on what’s on your drivers license. They will need to check your blood type themselves, otherwise they could be a bad situation.

That said, I went to a doctor, and I think all told including him ‘certifying’ my blood type was under 10,000 colones.

The salaries are of course “minimum salaries”. Believe it or not, some people make more than that. Much more in some cases.

I always say, “You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.”

You could probably do better in Panama on that money, and their government actually welcomes retiring foreigners, unlike Costa Rica. Personally I like Costa Rica better, but I’m not on a strict budget.

If you believe the article and video, do you believe that Social Security (already a known unsupported ponzi scheme) is actually going to offer a meaningful difference to your life? Just saying…

    I wanna be the first!

You are a “nut job”. 😀

BTW sprite, aren’t you still living in the U.S.? If so, why don’t you get outta there?

The roads have been shitty. And today even shittier.:(

For those killed or hurt or trapped, my heart goes out to them. Unfortunately, it takes tragedy before you can get a short-lived knee-jerk reaction to the infrastructure crisis.

There is no forward planning in this country that extends beyond the leader’s nose.

If someone was to be a squatter on your land, I doubt you’d be Googling quotes to make it sound altruistic.

I never saw much value in recognizing ‘squatters rights’ in this day and age. Why even attempt to reward his parasitic behaviour? Squatter = Thief. Would you search out stolen or fenced goods?

Call David @ 8361-0408. He can get you anything that needs a plug. Brand name, full warranties and delivery to your house with the same or better prices than Golfito – without the hassle or restrictions on how much you can buy.

I used him years ago for our house and the same for our office. I have referred many people to him and they all have had positive things to say.

Thank you Aaron for providing an update on things. I’m glad to see you are pushing forward. I believe the area has a lot of potential. Build it right & methodically and good things will come your way.

Thanks for the advice. The condos and owner’s areas are completed at Del Pacifico so I consider that part of the investment as secure. The waste water treatment, water, electrical, phone, Internet, cable are all in place for the condo I am considering. The pools and rancho are also done. The price I’m willing to pay is based on what is there now versus what is planned. If those other planned items move forward then good for me.

Buying into a project based on a computer rendering is never a good idea unless you want to gamble with your money.

So many projects have the beautiful entrance with nothing more. This one has an ugly entrance, but with something decent built behind it. We will see how it goes.
