I think these are two separate issues. My understanding is the exit visa is because we stayed past our 90 days. The other has to do with the fact that minor children are involved & they want to make sure all is on the up & up with both parents for them to leave Costa Rica.

Thanks for the info. Do you have an idea of approximate cost?? Also,I read that in order to leave with minor children, both parents need to go to National Child Welfare Agency to get documention for minor(s) to leave. Is that correct?

I know this topic has been pretty well exhausted, however I have one bit of advice. Bring an extra debit card. My experience is that even though a card has the Cirrus logo it may or may not work for you..depending on the ATM/ATH machine. I have had numerous discussions with my bank in the USA re the fact that some machines do not “read” the card and will not honor it. Also, my husband tried a machine and the machine “ate” the card. We made several calls to the bank to try and retrieve our card and got the runaround. We finally had our bank in the USA Fed Ex us new cards.

Sorry for the late response, however I am having the same problems with allergies. I had allergies in the US but nothing like this..especially since rainy season. My skin (especially arms) is itching like crazy, itchy eyes, wheezing. Do you have any suggestions for this??? A couple of months ago I went to a pharmacy to get some type of anti-itch cream (like cortisone from US). The pharmacist appeared very confused and finally gave me a teeny tube of cream which cost the equivalent of about $8.00. It really didn’t even help that much!!
