My son traveled all over CR by bus with surfboards…no problem but recommends watching your personal stuff. he fell asleep and oops, his camera was gone!

make sure which airport u want ur plane to arrive or depart from cuz NATURE AIR goes to an airport which requires a ride to SJO
I would pick SANSA the next time we fly around

we shared a van from one airport to another in san jose, with a wife, brother and sister in law of a man who had died in Costa. i don’t know HOW he died but they were having a horible time getting the husbands body back to Chicago for buriel. it was the saddest thing to see a grieving family deal with US and CR’S EMBASYS to try and get this done.

    Dear Barb
i read all the replys and was sad to see how lonely it can be.
it is easy to say you have to make your own happiness but harder to do
you sound depressed and living in the memories.
i don’t envy your position and moving may be your answer but seems like you are chasing the past and sad about the present. What you need are friends not lovers. Someone to talk to, not romance you.
At 77 life is too short to go looking for happiness. Make your own…..where ever it may be but be real about what you need to make that happen

a few yrs ago we were in a van going from one airport to another ..we shared with 3 people who were crying and using cell phone non-stop…turns out the husband/brother of these people had died while on vacation in CR…the problem was getting body back to US!! can you imagine the horrors of trying to return your loved ones body home and dealing with details needed to do this. i will never forget that 1/2 ride..EVER

we have also thought of renting before we settle down in CR..
and true that the forum has answered your questions but i have one that i cannnot find an answer
if we want to rent long term, how do we do that if you can only stay max 3months?????
do we have to leave for 72 hrs each quarter? that would be a hardship if we had to
    any suggestions

we are in Playa junquillal but way up in the hills
we are in the middle of a road being built from the beach to Santa Cruz…
we have spent alot of time Nosara (Playa Guiones)…that town started out as a sleepy village to now a booming tourist area.
summer of 2009 we spent 3wks in Hotel Romantique, just vegging, no car, no tv,,,ahhhhhhhh
the town looked like a ghost town but no one had told the stores that they should lower their prices!!! i think they were in deniel of an ecomonic crisis in the world
anyway …..that is our dream…..to build on our property that has a view of the ocean in one direction and farm land in the other. we have named our lot DOS VISTAS
    AHHHHHHHHHHH
