Looks wonderful. I really like the metal work, looks very nice. Would love to see before and after shots of the interior. Thanks for sharing.
DiamondMemberHi, there is a very nice young man in Ojachal who sells and installs synthetic thatch roofs. If you mean the kind of roof you would put on top of a palapa, usually with palm fronds, are you talking about using something synthetic, plastic materials? If you are, then he is the guy to see. There is a restuarant called Exotica in Ojachal that converted to this roof, and they love it. No more problems with bugs, or things falling from it. They are very pleased with it. The young man who sells this product is right next store to Exotica.
Best wishes CelesteDiamondMemberI have also heard that International Living does make 10% on property that it sells.
If you ever really look into what they sell, it is usually far away from the locals.
Sometimes in very remote areas. Of course I can’t substantiate this but a gentleman I sat next to on a plane, told me he was an investor and had purchased property in Nicaragua. He told me that IL did make 10% on all sales, that is why they market so heavily in so many areas of the world.Celeste
DiamondMemberHi, I have booked a rental car with Costa Rica Link before. They are bad news, pre paid on a car rental through them, only to have the car company not receive the payment. Then you are stuck with having to pay again on the credit card. When you get
home then you have to fight with the credit card company to get your money back.
Toyota has stopped doing business with them. It is unforunate that they take up so much web space, that is how they suck you in. Buenos suerte.
CelesteDiamondMemberThere are a lot of French Canadians in Ojachal, about 40 minutes south
of Dominical. There is a wonderful place to eat called Exotica, run by a couple who are French Canadians. Ojochal is half way between Dominical and Palmar Norte.DiamondMemberHi, I just bought property very close to the new Osa Hospital. I was
there in mid Feb.,07. The shell has been completed and the roof is
on. It appears to be a very large hospital. The main building is
2 stories high with multiple other buildings surrounding the site.
It really looks nice. The windows were not in when I was there.
It reminds me of European hospitals, 1 main building and other
buildings are for specialties, such as neuro, GI, pulmonary, etc..I am not sure why it is built there but around that area there are
mulitple new developments appearing. It is close to the Sierpe
region, and about 40 minutes from Dominical. Maybe they are trying
to get some business from Panama. I don’t know if it is private or
public but it does look beautiful.Celeste
