Good thing he had a nice trip.:)
Some others sing it differently.
” They stole my passport and took my bike.
They got my laptop on Saturday night.
…….may not ever return ” 😆Doug WardMemberThe crazy part is the clowns at ITC push tourism this time of year.I would never consider just visiting in the so called dry season. Gimme April to Oct any day.
59 and sideways the last 2 days. The wind died down last night.
Had my first visit been in Dec, I’da never returned.Doug WardMemberWait until he finds out his electric is higher than anywhere in the US. With his money it makes no difference but it sure was a shocker for me. Plain stupid.

That is a great link. I’m confused though about how to purchase from them. I live here in Manuel Antonio, and it looks like of you order with a CC which has a billing address in the States, then the delivery has to go there. Do you know how we can purchase any of these books while living here in CR? Is there somewhere that I can pick them up in person? Thanks!
You can go to inBio park and get them….or……if you have any friends near San Jose they could grab them.
I had an employee pick them up a few times and I think he got them from the U of CR book store.
I’ll ask him later today.Doug WardMemberHere’s the non-ripoff source.

I drink Linasa a few times a week. Tasty and filling for lunch.Buzz in a few ‘nanners and some cinnamon.
I like that avatar.Nina Hartley :lol::lol:8)?Doug WardMemberThe only thing Monteverde is missing is a guy in a mouse suit:shock:. Head up to Tenorio-Miravalles and Rio Celeste.
In 1997 Monteverde was still awesome. I returned in 2005. That was my final drive to Monteverde.Doug WardMember
Thanks for the information, guys. The new Alajuela WalMart is, indeed, there and open for business. This afternoon they had a pretty attractive deal on a 32″ Sharp Aquos TV which we took advantage of.
And, I’m happy to report, not a shot was fired and there was no lingering odor of pepper spray. You North Americans are truly in for a culture shock.
Well. Since one Walmart can put thousands of Ticos out of work, I suggest a tracking device for the new idiot box.Doug WardMemberTalk to a vet at Dos Pinos. Those guys can seem to find anything. Most of the “vets” here think the Internet=Facebook.
Never forget. Books and catalogs are like Kryptonite to Ticos.:lol:Doug WardMemberOh. Just ask for St. Augustine grass. It’s plentiful and works great here.
Doug WardMember
Does anyone know where to find nice large trees like
Magnolias and Eucalypus Trees. We are in Grecia (mountains) and getting ready to Landscape our Guest Home. Also,
where to get GOOD Sod.Many thanks,
GeeGee
The only decent large stuff I’ve seen was on zoo road in Alajuela.Let them install them and get a written guarantee.I was in the biz for many years and all I’ve seen here is people clueless of how to dig the tree and secure a root ball.:roll:November 19, 2011 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Local San Jose area physician with U.S. DEA registration #161255Doug WardMemberFind a Cuban trained doctor.
Also before you take medications prescribed by a Tico “doctor”, go to drugs dot com and check for any interactions unknown around here.If I hadn’t done that, on two separate occasions, I might not be typing this.Doug WardMember
As a Canadian I would advise you to come for an extended stay, at least three months with your daughters, then make the decision, whether or not, to move.
Personally, I wouldn’t make the move with kids in that age group, since it is hard making an adjustment to another school, period. So, when a language barrier is in place, life will get harder, for all of you.
Home school. Your kids already probably have twice as much knowledge as their new babysi…I mean teacher will have.Doug WardMemberWhat is a Gringo ? A type of Lizard perhaps ?
OH ! You mean those clowns that sell houses for ten times what they’re worth.
I have to go clean my shotgun now.
Thanks for the reminder.Doug WardMemberIt’s ridiculous to choose a wood floor over concrete/ceramic. It makes zero sense here.
Ask any Tico. -
