With that kind of equipment, and the fleet includes the floating hospital, they’re fixin’ to take FreeDumb and DemoNcrasy to somebody.
Find a body bag manufacturer and buy some stock.
As usual, with the falling empire, whatever they are up to will be a total failure.

The correct headline should read. ” SEVEN THOUSAND TERRORISTS SEEN IN COSTA RICA”.
The idiocracy at it’s finest.

As I stated. Get in touch with the director of the business dept. and ask for a recent grad. Preferably a girl…..OK young woman.
I’ve done this movie.
THAT is the way you get quality help that wants to understand YOUR culture……………Vice versa. A gringo can learn the ropes from the right kid.
Leave the superiority complex in the bodega.
Go with the flow.

I guess I have much more faith in bartenders than cops.
At least their job involves things to be proud of.

I’d recommend contacting the U of CR business dept and ask if they could have some recent grads fairly fluent in English to contact you for interviews.
The business degree here is thorough. They have a really good program. That’s the type of kid you want.
Every Tico kid that speaks English will tell you about his ” expertise”….in everything.
Get one with papers.

If the Ticos you know are from families of middle class and above they have a definite head start and their parents can afford private schools.
/code]

I don’t think my wife was included in this group.
She was born and raised in the middle of San Jose and went to the oldest all girls school in the country in the middle of SJ.

My wife graduated in the top of her class and received a Masters in Economics. She had to pay for private English classes at Britz and the British institute. She also had to teach herself how to read English because all of the collage books were in English.

You are right about most of the schools in that they are over crowded and so on. But this also makes the kids work harder. They don’t get spoiled and think that everyone should have a football dome in every school.

The most important idea that needs to come out of this discussion is that people have to understand that Ticos are not dumb and if someone is lucky enough to work in CR they will be competing with people that have collage degrees and in many cases over qualified for the jobs that they are applying for.
I gotta get me ona them collage degreze.

Yep. I find the Ticos to be better educated.

If you don’t see Lake Arenal and the volcano you’re really missing out.
Flaming was nice 20 years ago but nowadays I shoot right on by and go up to San Juan del Sur.

When I eat shellfish I get gout. The Tico fix is 5 clean chayote leaves boiled in a liter of water.
It works.
It might help you too. Inflammation is inflammation.
There is a “Medicine Man’ in Guatuso that concocts some fantastic herbals if you ever get up that way. Just ask a local. They all know him

The idiots in the Empire are clueless.
2 years ago I brought in a bulldog. I called the girl at the consulate in Miami and got all of the info, went and got the shots, went to the USDA vet and everything was in order.
The nitwits at SW said i needed something else.I got the girl on the phone and she basically, in Tica , told the idiot to put the damn dog on the plane and she’d handle it on this end.Off we went.
They brought me my dog, first item off the plane.
I walked into the luggage pickup and a Tico customs guy comes over, I handed him my paperwork,he said que linda perra, and we went on our way.

Shoot PETA an email. They’ll “find out” EXACTLY what the deal is…….and fix the problem, if there is one 😯

Me too. I know that 3 or 4 years ago I had a hard time finding teak to make my fence and rancho out of.
I wound up getting what I needed from a rather shady character but all of the other guys, with big farms, said it was all spoken for.For flooring.

If I were going to get into something that big I’d probably research Jatropha, for biofuel.

You need to fully understand the labor laws here. It’s not as cheap as it seems.
Xmas cost me $9,000 in 2008.
Go try to get a cell phone and a p.o. box.
Then imagine trying to get permits for growing hardwood and starting a business.

I started a little business but I wouldn’t do it again.

My dog got nailed by a terciopelo.
I had the antivenin in the fridge. No biggie.
He was swollen for a few days.

The guy you want to talk to is Arturo Murillo in Tilaran.
First off. In Costa Rica you don’t buy furniture. You have it made.8) Arturo gets mattresses that are made by a German company in the free trade zone. Super nice, and reasonable too.

I don’t know how folks do it in San Jose but that’s another country compared to Tronadora.:D KInda like a tropical Iraq:shock::roll:

BTW You got a new restaurant in San Louis, a new bakery, and ownership of Five Corners has changed and now it’s TexMex.
Good Fajitas !

My name is Dooooooooooooglass.I own the botanical gardens down below the mirador .
