    I appreciate everyone’s responses so much! I’m delighted he will be able to come as my dependent. He has been disabled since birth and receives disability as adult child. He will qualify for my social security benefits when I die, which will put him well over the $1000 requirement. This is our hope for his independence as he cannot afford this in the US.
