From the article above, they look like such a nice couple.
I hope they can work things out and get back together!

    😀 LOL . . . . . . .

I thought I had read some messages about buying and selling gold on the Yahoo Costa Rica Living Forum.
I just checked and yes you can find some postings from this year, by typing in “Selling Gold” in the Forum
    search.

I have read on this site that value is only based on the building, not the land, however in today’s AMCR they seem to be also including land. They even have an article on some new formula to calculate land value. Have things changed?

My second question is, and maybe it is a stupid one, let’s say you have a property, has a house (value 175K) and two cabinas (value 40K each), is each building valued separately, in regards to the luxury tax? If not, what if the house is on one piece of titled property and the two cabinas are on an adjust, separately titled property, both in your name (but separate)? Does in make a difference if one is in your name, one in your wife’s or say different corporations?

    Thanks for any insight

I have not checked Randy’s site out more yet, but I did check out his name on the ARCR site.
If nothing else, he does seem to offer a great example of the number of different ways that
you can get into trouble buying property in CR.

I missed Randy’s advertisement in AMCR today, since I don’t usually look at the advertisements.
But you got me wondering, so I checked it out. Now I don’t know much about the guy, except what I
just read on his site, were he listed six points, but a lot of it made sense and more than half of
what he said I would guess Scott would agree with. One must filter information one is given, verify and
make their own decisions. I don’t agree with everything that Scott says, but I agree with a lot of it and
find his website very helpful. I will likely spend sometime seeing what Randy has to say. Just my 2 colones.

George Lundquist’s driver/12 passenger van is available for $300/day. Look under customized tours on his home page.
Google his name for the web address.
