Antonic, I have had no problem using my Scotiabank card in CR. I always use Bank of San Jose, because it is the closest to where I stay. You can withdraw US dollars or colones. Of course, there is a charge, so make sure you withdraw a decent amount every time you use your card.
….and all these words from a hippy Canadian! I would be insulted if an American had written those words about our PM (even if they were right). I don’t think he has any business sticking his nose in another countries’ politics! By the way we do have an American coming here and telling us what to do – his name is Al Gore.
I understand what you are saying, and I am in complete agreement with you. However, I think it is also our responsibility to protect our children as best we are able. Personally, I hope the death penalty is not imposed, even though this is a serious crime. I don’t think the Chinese care one way or another about North Americans, and the “death penalty” is just to save face, so that we will continue to buy their goods.

Sorry Diego, no cat fight!!Not worth responding to. As far as I am concerned Maravilla is one of the reasons people say “Yankee go home” because people get sick of know it alls. This will be my last post here.
This course is absolutely the best, and well worth the money.I have done the online version of the level 2 verb course, and I listen to the cd’s almost every day to hone up on my Spanish. Of course, what I need is more practice with Spanish speakers, but at least I have a good grasp of what Spanish is all about. When I started I didn’t even know what “hola” meant!!! Pura vida!
We have rented from Dean, twice, and have been very satisfied with both the car and the service. So much so that we are renting again from Dean next January. Of course one must remember that this is a Geo Tracker, not a Lincoln, but it is great for driving around Costa Rica.
Thanks Scott, I was beginning to think that there were not so many people who liked “nature’s spring tonic”. Lotus, you will have to come and sample my rhubarb pie when I get down to CR. Of course, it is a long way to go from Puntarenas to Zapote for a few stalks of rhubarb.LOL
