lovely Italian aristocrat-artist-chef-renaissance man
now thats a great description… but does he like baseball LOL
harlonMemberim sorry maravilla
but do you still live in the US or do you live here??? because if you live here.. a womens pickins is not that good
i have had 13 over 40 female american friends over the past 6 years.. move back to the U.S because they could not find a good man here..dont get me wrong.. alot of american men are also wankers… so i dont blame you.. heck being single is not all that bad.. especially if you have many friends..
harlonMemberPS.. by the way.. I have been happily married now for 4 years with 2 kids.. i have a lovely loving young tica wife.. that takes complete care of me.. and she takes care of our home.. as i completly take care of my family.. i never cheat… no need.. got all that out of system in my younger days..

it saddens me to say.. but i have to agree with many of the things that soflodoug states regarding the relationship crisis in the U.S.
relationships with women have become more adversarial.. than anything else.. and one of the things i love about costa rica.. is that women are women and are not tainted by all the poo poo mentality that goes on in the states..
after living here for many years now I can state this for the record
” I would never ..ever…ever…ever…never..lol date an american woman”
and also for the record.. im a handsome financially successful business man.. that never had problems attracting women in the states.. its just that
there is no comparison.
no what about those yankees lol
harlonMemberThank you admin
do you know of any negative comparisons working with this type of construction??
it seems like they handle everything..
thanks again
harlonMemberits a shame about the increase in crime here. there were 3 assinations this week alone, and there are also an increase of kidnappings here. this is also a major concern.
harlonMemberI am trying to find out where admins new place is so i can start the squatting process lol
harlonMemberI have to agree with admin on this one.. its really sad what TV has become.. silly mindless chewing gum..
use resources like welovecostarica to help you and stay away from these idiots

harlonMemberit would not surprise me if the USA never recovers…
scott.. your really a pip.. i know its your business to sell costa rica real estate.. 🙂
although i do not live in the U.S. i have 100% confidence that the United States of America will get through this like it always has.

harlonMemberRegards theft, the more you sacrifice your humanity in order to protect property, the more property will be worth in relation to humanity. Balance here in important
sprite.. that is a great quote.. its true.. balance needs to be taken. there are no easy answers to these types of questions.. although it is amusing that scott continues to counter any negative costa rica statements with the usual.. “well in the U.S crime is much much higher.. yada yada..”
i do believe in personal protection and justice. but unfortunetly in a society like here or any other you have to adapt. it is also sad that as one grows in prosperity… items, properties etc… so also grows the stress of owning these things since now protection of these items and properties have also need to be factored in.
I have a contractor who just bought a 2003 land crusiser.. he used to have a 1986 isuzu.. he saved and got a loan.. so now he has payments.. and hes living large.. so he thought
after a few months.. we had a conversation and he told me that he should have never gotten himself ito that car.. because now since he has to worry about his car he needs to park in garages.. the cost of insurance.. marchamos..monthly payments.. he paid for security sysetm to be installed. he has more stress than just driving his 1986 isuzu.. such is life when you own things…
Im begining to think renting here in costa rica is actually better than owning..

Caution: You are now entering a criminal elimination area I love that.. unfortunetly you are right.. people need to know that if i break into your home the chances are something bad will happen to me.. i remember when that man from nicaragua broke into that mechanic shop late one night and his rotties tore him apart.. unfortunetly the man died.. but if he survived.. he probalbly would think twice of repeating his actions……. action.. reaction..
harlonMembergood points.. but we have to remember that admins job is selling real estate and all the virtues of costa rica. I also love this pura vida country and love living here but i am a pragmatic individual and cannot close my eyes to this growing trend here.
people need to know all the information when making a decision to relocate here.. not just we love costa rica.. lol
enforcment here is a joke.. response time is a joke.. the fuerza publica makes $300 per month they are a joke. the only real semblance of law and order comes from the OIJ which publicy stated they are way underforced and cannot handle this increase in crime.
the best strategy is to live in an area with also like minded people and work on comunity grouping.. where each neighbor looks out for each other. if there is something amiss and i am not home i get a call from my neighbor to see if all is ok… same goes with me.. we keep vigilant about who enters the area and question people as they come in..
but please do not mention anything about that acid my neighbors think im such a wonderful guy..lol

there you go ahead spewing this propaganda lol i grew up in the USA.. the rules for imprisonment in the USA has changed soooo dramatically that you can even go to jail for wiping your a** the wrong way lol.. the amount of white collar non violent crime has driven the prison population. I have friends that did time because he drove with a suspended license.
NYC does not have the same crime as is rising here.. home invasions, assaults on the streets. and yes the police have more power and influence.. whereas here the police are a joke and are also many time part of the problem.
enjoy your trip to the U.S. You will be alot safer in the U.S.A than here my friend.
by the way you should love the U.S.A. admin since I would say that the majority of your income and members are US citizens.peace… and remember when all elase fails…admin.. I have some extra acid for you LOL

crime here is most definetly on the rise here.. please dont let anyone that benefits from telling you otherwise. criminals here know that basically they can get away with robbing. they even admit it publicy.
i have seen wealthy people and poor people get robbed.. yesterday in san jose.. while at a traffic light some guy came behind a woman at a corner and from behind ripped out her earings and took off. leaving her clutching here ears with blood.. i was in my car. i was just dumbfounded before it sank in what had happened.
i dont care to compare stats between the U.S. and here. the problem here is that the infrastructure here is weak and they do not catch the majority of criminals. they know this and Im sure they sit and laugh as they watch on TV the keystone cops fumbling around trying to appear busy.
the conclusion is personal and everyone has thier own ideas.. but you have to protect yourself.. and always try to blend in to your surroundings… me.. god protect that person that comes into my home.. i already have acids that will dissolve any evidence if it ever comes to that.
pura vida
