Hi, I Just moved a household full of items including brand new appliances ( kitchenaid and profile GE) and unbeliably only paid $937 in import taxes!I even shipped all my kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
It really depends on the moving company/ customs broker you use.
I used a company called sgglobal and though it was expensive for the container ( 40′ $5000) The service was worth it.
I have everything I wanted in CR without paying the high prices or running all over the country to look for things
