Why not go to your local(in CR) Farmacia and find out what they can provide for you and the cost. When we moved here that is what we did and it has worked out just fine. Most of the pharmacy’s have a doctor on premise.

I bought a new grill at EPA and bought the “Tico Connector” with hose and it works fine. That way I can exchange the “Tico tank” at grocery/ Most all of them carry the Tico Tank in stock. My friends send in their American tank which was new until it came back a week later and looked as if it had been dragged behind the truck.

Asphalt is being laid here in the Quepos area. Looks like they finally might get this happening. The last time (1month ago) i traveled to Dominical the road had not been prepared or worked on from Matapalo to Dominical.

If you are really strapped for $ why go through the hassle and pain to have a car shipped here. I moved here 3 years ago and purchased a 4X4 Hyundia Galloper and wouldn’t sell it for the world. Yesfuel consumption is important but rarely will you go far enough to be spending a lot of money on fuel. Contact Russ Martin for help to purchase a used vehicle. He and Kattia helped me and it was a very easy experience.

I believe if you go there and hang out in town, walk the streets, and frequent the local establishments for about a week you will find the people and places. I live near Quepos and it worked for me. Expats attract each other. Good luck.

I live outside Quepos and have felt at least 3-4 quakes in the last 6 months. The one last week at about 7 PM was like an explosion and made noise. The one today was pretty good movement.

A night out every 60-90 days would be great. We live in the Quepos area therefore we would enjoy an evening event since the trip would require overnight for us. Trading stories and info of different areas would be very beneficial.

I have a Banco Nacional account and they gave me a National Card. Not a credit card but Debit card, This way I could use it in the States. It works great.

Just went to Panama from Quepos/MA. Yes road is rough from Quepos to Dominical. But not as bad as before. If you could take a small 4X4 it might be better but not necessary. The scenery past Dominical is nice. Have fun.

If I were you I would stay in North America with my high volume “cookie cutter” up-to-date colors and designs. By the way I was a volume builder (300-400) per year in the US and would not go back to the US if you gave me one of your new homes for free.I am not sure why you wrote your comments.

I drove past this site yesterday. All I saw was several billboards, No entrance or any sign of construction.
