I was told today that you can pay your taxes at any bank, which the Municipalidad has an account.
jmorbergMemberHi,
I want to get this out for discussion since i think alot of people are just believing what they hear, if it is coming from an Attorney in Costa Rica. I just asked 3 different Attorney’s to see #1 how much they charge and then #2 to see what their opinion is on the matter. Some had other fee’s in regards to aspects/duties that really do not apply to a corporation that is not running a business. Great suggestion to read the book for everyone!
Thanks
jmorbergMemberWe are owners in Costa Esterillos, and part of an email group of Costa Developer owners. If any owners would like to join it, please reply to this message under “via email”. It’s been very good for communication and updates on the projects.
jmorbergMemberI received an email from CD yesterday and some permits were not present at the site and that the problem has been resolved and conducting business as usual. The news article was vary vague and not specific other than that construction on 17 homes were suspended.
jmorbergMemberHi,
What U.S. Banks will finance these properties in Costa Rica?

jmorbergMemberHow come when someone makes positive comments about a development, the Kahn and Goldberg team alway’s come up?, that’s the only negative thing that can be brought up? Probably not a good thing to have on your resume, obviously, we all are aware of these 2 people and their past, so it’s speculation at this point until the project is finished and homes are built. Some of us have more at stake than other’s, but Costa Developers has aligned itself with some pretty good companies in Costa Rica to get these projects done, along with Banko Nacional, and progress is being made. So if someone say’s good things about this project they are a plant and goes the same way, if someone say’s bad things, who knows, maybe they are a plant too?? Love the Drama here i must say. Who can you really trust. All i know is that i have done my due dilligence, my sister in law works at INVU and has friends in SETENA, so everything has checked out in Costa Rica.
jmorbergMemberI would suggest everyone who is wanting information on Costa Developers, google their website (i won’t post it here, but it’s easy to find), and click on Costa Montana, then click on their newsletter and there is pretty good info on this project, they are stating the infrastructure in Costa Montana as been completed in 18 months, if this is the case that is good news.
jmorbergMemberThanks David!!!
So you think $1.05 a sq ft can get the #4 and #5, it’s actually about 1750 sq ft including the garage, so want to get the better/best quality. Can you recommend a place to go? Right now we have a white shiny surface and it shows the dirt and the slip factor is the other thing, + the darker once’s look better anyway. This is what the builder installed.
Thanks
Steve
jmorbergMemberHi,
I am also looking for updates from people who have bought in. I received my info from Costa Developers this week.
Thanks
jmorbergMemberI was just down in Costa Rica, even went to Jaco, but did not see these developments, Montana and Esterillos, but before i left i did find their website and sent email for more information. When i came back to the U.S., they called me and said they would send me an information packet and then would follow up with a sales rep on what i thought. I can tell it will be a hard sell on their end, they are really pushing the speculative side of buying and then having quick equity, just buying the land, starting at $80,000 for 1/2 acre on the 3rd phase, which is higher up on the mountain. They said though that i would need to come down and walk the property, which obviously makes sense. I am just getting info and a feel for who and what, since there is quite the variety of opportunities. I have not found anyone who has purchase yet to ask their thoughts, but i am sure they would provide the happy customers.
