Thank you Tomasino. I have begun to not trust my “real estate attorney” for multiple reasons. I like that you’ve been with your attorney 12 years. Would you be kind enough to recommend him to me? I’d be forever grateful. Josie

    Hi Terry from Texas!
I have some land for sale that the buyer would like me to finance for 24 months. It’s ok for me financially to do it, but I don’t like the idea of chasing after someone for money if they default. You mentioned a short foreclosure if they didn’t pay be the second…
How can you enforce a foreclosure on a property that’s in Costa Rica? Is your contract written up that if they don’t pay by the second, nor rectify the back balance within 30 days, the contract is default and the property and all payments they have made are yours?
I’m such a rookie at this. I sure do appreciate your information.
    Josie in Texas 🙂

“Imagine that…a shady, hypocritical, jealous, double talking, snake oil salesman developer in Costa Rica who buries the competition while peddling his own property.”

Honestly Dave T, are you 12 years old? You’re name calling and stone throwing is really unbecoming in a public forum where the mediator clearly states ‘Be nice, no profanity, no name calling…”

You may not like the way the above mentioned person does their business, but please try to keep your immaturity at bay.

When I needed to furnish my place, I contacted an interior decorator in Jaco. Lynn Gensemer at Chungo Designs 643-3473 http://www.chungodesigns.com
She knows furniture makers who can custom build to your liking and THE BEST kept secret places for decorating. I thought it was going to be exhorbant, but she really knew how to get me a bargain! When my place was finished I couldn’t believe how unique and inexpensive it was.

Last April I flew to the US with my cat. I flew on American and they only allowed pets in the cargo hold. I have flown Americawest (US Airways) and my cat flew with me in cabin. In both situations, US customs showed barely any interest in my cat. Took her out, turned her around, put her back. They looked at my documents and that was it… yea…less than 5 minutes.
OH! one thing I didn’t realize… you can’t bring in cat/dog food if the bag has been opened. I went through customs, but then had to report to a different area to show them my food. I just surrendered the open bag of Science Diet, no big deal.

I’ve transported my cats to and from CR twice. The last trip to the US I purchased a new carrier at a pet store in the shopping center kitty corner (no pun intended) to the National Registry building. The packaging had the words “Airline Approved” on it to be sure. They had several different sizes.
