My wife and I have purchased 2 pieces of property from Ventana and we are very pleased with our “little piece of Paradise”. I can not speak with any authority regarding the negative posts here, except to say that there are many transactions that could be interpreted as being favorable to one party or another. My impression of CR as with many countries is that any interaction, such as acquiring title, opening a bank account, getting phone service, are all examples of living in an emerging, socialist economy, and that these transactions happen in a different time flow than in
the “USA”. Getting “title’ took many months…so what…? If you want it in a “New York Minute”, maybe you are looking in the wrong place. And, just as a reminder, the internet is the wild west in terms of information, for example, any person can say anything they want about any entity ie: Ventana, and potentially be trashing their competition!!!

As a newcomer to this thread, I think it might be helpful for us to have a common understanding of the concept of what constitutes the “political spectrum”. “liberal” and “conservative” relative to what? Here is link to an article that is the best I have ever seen on the subject. I found it very helpful in getting clear where I fit in:

My wife and I are buying two lots here. One for our permanent retirement home and one in the gated community as a rental. We love the area and the developers. We are looking for country not city, so this works for us. Unfortunately, we will not be moving down for a few years…sigh!!! KFisher
