I am not hiding from anything or anyone I just want to know what is ahead and how much info they collect on each of us.
The next ? is – do they ask you in the Registration form to indicate what type of residency you will be applying for?
Thank you for all your input, even jocks are fine.
Alexander69 is right on.

Under the new law for residency, the CR immigration office will not accept your application for residency or issue a file number unless your submittal package is complete, and to be complete it must include the form from your embassy.

I don’t know if the original idea for this requirement came from “big brother” or CR, but it is a definate requirement.
Just one more?
When you fill the “registration” form do they ask about your address in USA and about your address in CR?

In our gated community of 75 homes we are the ONLY
non-Ticos. We feel great here, everything secured, maintained. Pool, kids playgrounds and rancho always clean,
People are friendly and helpful.
We were working for 30 years very hard to save and have this home in Cr. This was our choice to live in Gated community and we do not need anybody’s approval or judjment to do so.
This is our retirement dream home and we want to feel secure, protected and free to come and leave any time without looking for house-sitter to look after it.
It is a “freedom” for us.
Best wishes to all of you.

The scooter we would like to bring is 50cc Honda Ruckus
Do we need registration, insurance, special driver license?
We have Cr driver license for car already.
We thinking to put it into container..
Any suggestions?

I completely understand the author of this article.
He has guts and has no fear expressing his feelings and decisions.
We also moved form one suburb to the different one 60 miles away, even we lived there for 11 years and loved the place.
This games with “political correctness” and selective “green light” immigration rules for “some” – already leading us to a lot of trubles. We also checked this subject when considered moving to CR.
