I understand that Arbitration has not started yet. Arbitration is supposed to start 150 WORKING days from the moment the 3 judges are chosen. That’s 30 weeks. There’s more time than money…..
Everyone should note that we do not have 4 months to ponder action. The banks, if successful could have the arbitration vacated in a week or two and then you probably can kiss your money good bye.. Do as this site and every site about Costa Rica real estate says and hire a good lawyer – just do it now.
Josh is probably short in money and hence the reason the old furniture packages , doors and sinks are for sale. Note that it cost 200k to get the arbitration rolling. If you don’t pay it you don’t arbitrate it. Good luck to all..

Sonesta Jaco ( Or what use to be Sonesta Jaco ) is unloading their “package furniture”. You can probably get a good deal on it…

All known owners / investors were sent a letter today from my lawyer. It is an introductory letter spelling out his intentions. We only have about 4 months before the arbitration is to be completed. It is my understanding that the intention is to sell the project to a hotel investor. Joshua has urged all players to put pressure on the banks. I strongly suggest that everyone involved act now before the arbitartion is over and your options severly limited. Who you use or what you do is your business. I do wish however that WE all do something to protect our investments…
I’m another one of those suckers who actually paid for their units under the impression that the opening or ‘partial’ opening was just around the corner.
I’m angry. I’ve been deceived from the start.
Please email me so we get a list of all that are being affected. So far we have a pretty good list going but would like to get as many as possible.. lewkeim@wt.net

Altough I can not recommend a local breeder…I can add a “tail” and suggest that Jack Russels should be required to have warning labels!

Mine was a Huricane Katrina victim, held for ransom and caused me to fall through the ceiling after he CLIMDED the ladder to our attic….THE STORIES SEEM ENDLESS..
I tried to put the best to pen and if you are Jack Russel friendly you may enjoy my first ATTEMPTED short story..
BY the way the items above didn’t make it into the story..
(Excuse the format)

Hi, I am contracted for 4 of these units.. There is at least one other member / owner on the board.
To clarify the first post – the units were from the beginning conceived as condo/hotel…
To me the rental pool / cash flow prospects low maintenance match my objectives while I wait till I can finally retire…
I monitor a lot of sites on CR real estate and there has been very few people trying to sell their units…
There was a write up of the project on this board…can’t say if it still exists..

Well, I used Quest Poly Butylene in Rochester. 7 yrs after install a fitting broke loose while we were away. $70,000 in damage…I will never use anything but soldered copper agian. Years before that there was a class action suit against a similiar product that used a crimp type fitting. YOU WILL NEVER CONVINCE ME THAT A MECHANICAL CONNECTION WILL LAST A LIFE TIME.
