This guy is so full of s**t I will not begin to talk about the color of his eyes! My wife and I have been going to Costa Rica for several years. We happen to like the Caribbean coast so much, we purchased a house there. We will retire on the Caribbean whenever that happens. We searched intensively on BOTH coasts to determine where we liked better. The Caribbean won. It is peaceful, quaint, laid back, beautiful and a wonderful place to be. It is safe, young ladies walk from Puerto Viejo to wherever they are staying at all hours of the night. Never is there a problem. We have NEVER had anyone ask us if we want drugs EVER!!!! We partake in a little smoke now and then and have to search for it! This was the most ridiculous article I have ever read on any blog about Costa Rica.
Lonnie1MemberWhat’s the point? It is an empty lot. You get into all types of contractual crap and legalities in Costa Rica. Let it sit until you want to do something with it. It will probably only cost a couple of hundred then.
Lonnie1MemberHi, my wife and I got married in Costa Rica a couple of years ago. We are American citizens but wanted to be married in C.R. Our attorney told us for the marriage to be accepted in America, we would have to register it with the proper agencies. Otherwise, it is not “quite” legal. Bottom line is, you ARE married. In Costa Rica and if Canada if you registered it there. If not, you are not “married” in Canada. Bottom line is that you HAVE to see a good attorney in Canada to make sure all problems and questions are answered.
