The condo project is being built by a private group I don’t know to much about it..There are a few homes being built as well- we may start to build something small later this year. We really don’t have any immediate plans to live there and for now it’s still pretty reasonable to rent a little apartment on the beach when we are there. Maybe if we do build something we will stay 3 months every year? We will be down in August for a few weeks and again in December…we’re getting married at Xandari!

I was just curious as I know there were some issues with the sewage treatment which caused a delay with the titles being issued or something along those lines…I saw Bob’s other project made the papers though. Overall are you happy with how everything turned out? I thought the project looked pretty good I just felt the lot sizes were to small for my taste.

John no problemo! I am going to check out expedia I always thought you did better dealing direct. With flights I do use them as well as Kayak but then go to the airlines site. Seems that even if the price is only a little better there is a much better choice of flights. My girlfriend just used expedia to book a car/flight/hotel to Florida though and got a great price much better than going direct to the source so to speak.

I’ll through in a good word for Dollar rental car. No problems in 4 or 5 years with them. A few times there were even some minor damage to the car and never a charge. And once when I returned the car I noticed they charged me for the extra insurance which I did not want. I spoke with the manager and it was removed and I was given a 10% overall discount!

I contacted the mortgage people Scott has on this site. They responded quickly and she spent time explaining all the different products. US money will still be a lot cheaper however you do have some reasonable options down there now. In our case we really wanted to try and build with out a mortgage or using a low interest line of credit I have. But recently we thought about building something larger and financing….

Get her a copy of “Full Catastophe Living” by Jon Kabat Zinn. This is the companion book for his well known stress reduction program at Mass. General Hospital. She has become a prisoner of her thoughts she can overcome this. Maybe not for this trip but through the practice of Mindfulness she should be able to get control of this thought process that is causing her all this fear. Her phobia is of course misguided as the reality is automobile travel is much less safe, let alone taking a bus through Central America! I had a pretty serious fear of flying, before I retrained my brain with meditation and mindfulness practice, a thorough understanding of the physics involved in flight helped put my mind at ease a bit.

Sounds like they are just ignoring the stop work order. If I were buying here I would want to know what was really going on, because if they are not in compliance you will not get legal title to your property. Knowing how long it can take to get the SETENA approval I was surprised how fast some of these projects started building houses etc. Now I know, they built first and crossed there fingers the final permits would come in before they were caught. I wonder if any of the buyers in these projects have there titles yet?

I just received an e mail from a friend that sells property in the Parrita area and they have been selling to a majority of Canadiens and Costa Ricans.

search the messages it has been discussed. And of course do nothing until your own attorney advises you and you have personally inspected the site.
