I’M not listening? oh that is rich. you just go ahead and live in your little bubble of right wing rhetoric; apparently it works well for you. i’ve dealt with your kind before — it doesn’t really matter what evidence, how many studies, or how many experts’ opinions you’re presented with, nothing will ever be scientific enough or credible enough but those of us who investigate these issues on a daily basis know that the so-called experts that are hailing the introduction of GMOs as a panacea to this, that or the other food crisis problem were also bought by right wing think tanks and right wing money. i’m done responding to anything you say. Every republican i have ever talked to about these things spews the exact same information — you all could be talking heads on Fox News. it’s really quite comical. have a nice day, but you won’t goad me anymore. and really, why are you living in a socialist country when your views of the universe are the polar opposite of everything this country stands for??

you’re JUST NOW learning about organic gardening? what, no Round-Up for you, Vicki? isn’t it perfectly safe? it’s non-toxic and biodegradable, according to Monsatan. as for vaccines, i could post a hundred studies, but nothing i could present to you would change your in-grained belief system that these things are safe because like most people you hold the mis-belief that these alphabet agencies are there to protect you.

there are at least a dozen countries who have kicked Monsanto out along with their frankenseeds. and something like 40 other countries require labeling of GMOs in packaged foods.

Oscar sold his country out when he was forced to sign on to CAFTA which opened the door for all of this. some people are arguing that monsatan only wants to plant a hectare or two, but because corn is pollinated by the wind, there is no guarantee that crops down wind will not be contaminated.

GMOs are NOT to answer to anything — they require more pesticide usage, and this additional chemical contamination has spawned superbugs and superweeds. nobody knows the longterm effects of these things — we already know that other GMO strains were a disaster and were hence taken off the market.

the disinformation campaign is being swallowed by the masses, just as they swallow lots of other lies.

if you put a gun to my head i wouldn’t eat anything that came out of a can. almost all cans are lined with BPA which is a known endocrine disruptor and a carcinogen. all canned foods, whether labeled or not, contain either MSG, preservatives, or both. you can get frozen corn at the big supermarkets here. but also, the fresh corn here is quite good — my neighbor grows it, and when she doesn’t, there are a few farmers at the local feria who have beautiful corn. it’s not exactly like what we used to get in the States, but it’s passable and is fine in salads and for eating off the cob.

you WILL have CAJA when and if you ever become a legal resident. but i am sure your conscience will prevail and you will not take advantage of this system that is basically a form of Obamacare, which you oppose.

as for GMOs feeding the world, nothing could be farther from the truth. acre per acre organically grown food has a higher yield with less pesticide usage, less damage to the environment, and food that is more nutritious. truth be told, there is plenty of food — more than enough to feed every man, woman, and child on this planet. in fact, there is a food SURPLUS!! but food is a political weapon and is often withheld depending on the agenda of the leaders of the country to which it is sent, or distributed. GMOs have destroyed the soil in every place they were planted because of the heavy pesticide use and the spawning of super bugs and super weeds. it still amazes me how many people labor under this false assumption that GMOs will solve the hunger problem. en serio, you need to do some research.

and you want kids to be vaccinated in light of the fact that many, if not most vaccines, have never really been tested for efficacy, and in fact, the backlash against vaccines is taking hold and more and more parents are refusing to submit their children to this medical experiment. Even Dr. Oz doesn’t vac his children!!!

but really, vicki, shouldn’t you be declining the use of CAJA given your right wing prejudice against universal health care? and how is 50,000,000 people without health insurance having the wool pulled over my eyes? oh, that’s right. YOU get to move to a third world country and suck off the medical system that you didn’t want for citizens in YOUR country. NOW I get it! And i suppose you think that $1500 and up a month for a family of 4 is a good rate for medical insurance??? what about all the people who can’t even be insured thanks to some pre-existing condition? I never understood why you right wingers are so merciless and heartless.

you got it. and damn proud of it, as is the son of the former president who is spearheading this revolt!!!

you strike me as someone who doesn’t give a damn about your food supply or what you eat or that the goal will be to have all seeds in the world under the domain of Monsanto. eventually they will get rid of all the organic seeds and all that will be available are their abominations of nature (and please don’t lay that ridiculous rap about how this has been happening for millenia because you didn’t even get the terminology correct!). some technology is good, but this $#h*t isn’t — and the revolt is worldwide now, Vicki, but then i doubt that you are up on any of this, just what you read in some right wing rag!

torches are lit and the castle is being stormed as i write.

as for peer-reviewed science — pffffft! who funds this academics review? i have about as much faith in any peer-reviewed stuff regarding GMOs as i do about peer-reviewed studies regarding pharmaceuticals, many of which are ghost-written and paid for by Big Pharma, so i would bet there is a Big chem money connection to your questionable journal. and pushing GMOs on a population isn’t a political agenda? and if GMOs are so great, why is monsanto being given the boot in more than a dozen countries and labeling is required in 30 more.

but you are going to take advantage of the Obamacare we have here in Costa Rica when if you ever get residency?????? and i suppose you think it’s okay that America is the only first world nation that has NO health plan for its citizens and that 50,000,000 are uninsured and to get even basic coverage for two people, not even a big family, costs upward of $500 a month and that’s if you’re healthy!!! it’s truly scandalous. and of course, if you aren’t living in country and paying taxes, why SHOULD you be entitled to healthcare in that country? people can’t have it both ways. they move here because they want the same life they had up there for half the cost, but they still want a toe-hold in those countries just in case they get sick? sheesh.

how do you know people haven’t gotten sick or died? don’t you remember the debacle with Starlink corn and why it was pulled off the market? same with the GMO tomato. we don’t want no stinkin’ GMOs in this country and at the rate that the cantons are banning together and putting pressure on the committee who decided for all of us, we might just make it happen. GMO corn has been linked to spontaneous abortions, animal deaths, and leaky gut syndrome. that’s just for starters. the film Genetic Roulette is once again available for free to watch on line. and yes, somebody IS in bed with Monsanto — they have more money than some governments and have no compunction about spreading their influence far and wide.

thanks for that link. i guess they could make me a one lane lap pool without a lot of problem. now where to put it. Ten grand isn’t so bad — my pool in California back in the 70’s cost 3 times that. what a deal we get here.

i’d kill for a lap pool. what’s the price range, and how big a pool did you put in CRF???? my cousins have a huge pool in Wales and they have it solar heated (which is a big bizarre since they hardly get sun!) and they swim all year round. i would have to do something like that here, and it would need a pool cover when not in use because we have lots of wind up on the ridge.
