Based on my count, from this developers website, they have 15 developments that either have been sold or are in the process of being sold. Not one of the developments has been completed and there appears not to be any that are near completion. It makes me wonder.

If they can’t wait two days, and the days occur on a weekend, non business days, then something sounds fishy. Particularly in light of the fact that you are willing to bring the full amount within 48 hours. I would be careful if I were you.

Presumably the refund policy is in the contract, I am reasonably certain that this is the case with most of the companies that have been discussed on this board. Buyers should read any contract they sign very carefully. In addition they need to be aware that if they have a problem with the property or anyone associated with the sale or development of the property they may have to litigate their case in a foreign country.

People who buy any property, sight unseen, from any company without a track record of developing property are taking a huge huge gamble. If they let the deadlines pass without inspecting their propery or seeking a refund than that is their problem not the developers.

The only way an American bank would finance property in a project like the ones Paragon sells is the use your US property as colateral.

Last summer I walked in Paragon’s office in the San Jose area , with a realtor from Costa Rica, and they did not even want to deal with me. The looked very surprised to see anybody. All of their sales are handled out of Florida on the telephone. When they get you to Costa Rica they do try to control your time and movements. These people act in a very suspicious manner.

The founders of Costa have very very questionable backgrounds. It is a matter of public record. In the past investors who have dealt with them have lost millions of dollars. Regardless of a previous post there is no evidence that Costa Developers has ever developed anything anywhere in the world

Specifically, which things or post do you not believe? The post about Ellis Kahn and Jeffrey Goldberg, the founders of Costa Developers, with a long history of questionable phone room deals, are for the most part, irrefutable. They are a matter of public record.

The fact of the matter is Costa Developers has never developed a development anywhere in the world. When they actually put up and have a funtioning sub division please come back on this forum and brag about it. Until then your post looks like a plant.

There is no infrastrcuture for the property by Tarcoles. The people, phone room operators behind this company, are Ellis Kahn, whose backround has been documented by other post on this website, and Jefffrey Martin Goldberg whose register number with the Federal Bureau of Prisons is 22377-048; who as recently as a few yeares ago was involved in a project called MRI in which investors lost nearly 50 million dollars. (look up it’s not hard to do a Google search, it’s all public information)

Neither of these parties as well as some of the other phone room operations based out of South Florida have completed one sucessful development out of the all the the projects they have promoted and sold. I wonder why?

I think the prudent thing to do is to avoid all the known people who have questionable backrounds and deal with reputable people who have a track record of completing at least one development.

Proceed at your own risk! The people behind Costa Developers have a long history of questionable investment schemes that have been well chronicled and documented on this website. One of the principles has been to federal prison. They have no background whatsoever in real estate, residential developments, architecture ect…in the United States, Costa Rica or any other country in the world. What would make you think that this development is going to succeed?

I was there in November 2006. There was not much happening. The had a nice gatehouse built and that’s about it. A couple of dirt roads and a few trails that’s about it. Many of their lots will be difficult if not impossible to build houses on.

Be very careful with any of the compamies that are strong telemarketers with no actual completed developmnets in Costa Rica.

There both QUESTIONABLE! If the companies are so legitimate then why do they employ people with such shady backrounds to sell their products? Costa Developers, as you pointed out, has Ellis Kahn and Jeffrey Goldberg behind them. Both have extensive recors of questionable business dealings and subject to federal regulation. Goldberg has been to federal prison.

The company your so comfortable with hires the likes of Steven Tashman and Lyle Wexler who also have a history of being involved in questionable business dealings and being investigated and or sued by the federal government. Why don’t they hire legitimate real estate people?

With all due respect your post seems like a plant. Until such time as Mr. Gale actually builds and has functioning a sub division/development then anybody getting involved in his, or similar, projects should be very very careful.

    Billy:

Why don’t you tell everyone how many telemarketing scams Steve Tashman has been involved with? Why don’t you tell everyone that you were not a prinicpal in Lehigh Acres but a salesman. The three principals are now deceased. Why dont you explain why there is no infrstructure, water, electricity and roads, on most on your properties? How come only 5-10 houses built and over 1000 lots sold? How many of your telemarketers have a back round in real estate? How many have prior arrest? How many have licenses to to sell real estate anywhere in the world? How many of your telemarketers have cease and decist orders from other states for boiler room scams? Why dopnt your tell everyone that paragon employs singers to brag about your properties to prospective buyers?
